Whoever Invented.....

DVD's never had children. Great in theory, but in reality not so great. Little miss knows how to work the TV and is learning how to work the DVD player. Unfortunately she can't quite grasp the concept of how to hold the DVD as to not ruin them. I really like my old VHS tapes.

Haha yeah I got scared when Cooper learned how to open the cases. Now he will yard on the disc until it pops out  the other day I thought he was going to break Mary Poppins right in half! If I keep the DVD player clicker out of his sight/reach, he's pretty good about not touching it, and I try not to keep a DVD in the player just in case.

Now, Sierra on the other hand, she is worse. Hands down. She will take a disc out of the case, then not put it back, leave it on the floor, where it will get pushed around, stepped on, and scratched. I have taken away all her DVDs, which are really all MY Disney movies. My copy of the Little Mermaid, which is my absolute favorite Disney movie, is scratched horribly. I was so angry. Now she has to "check them out" from me. She has to bring me the one back before she can have another one. She also has flattened most of the cardboard overlays that come on them. I also have a stack of DVDs with missing cases, and a stack of cases with no DVDs. Like about a dozen of each. How does that happen???

I agree Andrea, that is a good idea. Although by the time Isla is Sierra's age we probably won't have DVDs it will all be digital copies, which can never get scratched!

Haha me too! We finally made the leap and got a Blu-Ray player. We went without for about 4 months after our $30 no-name brand DVD player broke.

Just when we seem to catch up with technology, it changes again. Ugh. We are thinking of looking for a new TV soon too. Colin wants to stay similar to the size we have now (60 inch  ) but I think maybe a little smaller would be okay lol. I want one that hangs on the wall. Our TV is massive. Almost as big as our kitchen table.

Allyson chews on dvds, drives me crazy.

My 7 year old destroyed so many vhs tapes around 2-3 years old. She wanted them to be purses.

How about the ones that take so long to load. I remember the baby einstein ones seemed to take forever and all I thought is "I have a screaming baby why do I have to wait 3 minutes to get it started I want him happy so I can go to the bathroom NOW!!"
