Worst. Poops. Ever. - Long!!

The last 3 or 4 days, Cooper has been having the worst poops. This morning was especially bad. On Saturday we were getting my sister and her hubby moved in to my mom's new house, which is a couple doors down from me. Brenda and Ryan sold their condo, but haven't been able to find the right place yet, so my mom said she'd move back to the old house, where my brother still lives, and B&R could live at the new place for a few months while they continue looking.

Anyways, Cooper pooped, and I didn't have any diapers there, so I took him home. It was pretty runny, and had *TMI* quite a lot of beans in it. Not surprising, as we'd had chili for dinner the night before. Then I was making my grocery list, and he's standing next to me in the kitchen, and lets out 2 HUGE farts. Like long ones. Really wet sounding too. So I check him, and of course, he's pooped again. So I go to change him, and there was a puddle of poop in there. Ewwwww.

He was fine all day at the zoo, that was before this, and then we went grocery shopping after the 2 poops, and he was fine then too. He was eating grapes at Costco, which I probably shouldn't have let him do. They give him the runs if he eats too many.

So yesterday more of the same, really runny poops, farts, we had dinner, etc. This morning he lets out another huge wet fart, comes over to me, I said let's go change your bum before it leaks through your pants. Too late. It was all down his legs. I had to strip him and stand him in the bathtub. Granted, he was wearing a Pull-Up, because he'd only been out of bed for about 15 minutes, but yikes!! Yeah, and 3 days later, there is still beans coming out!

Oh yeah, and this morning when I went in to get him out of bed, he was saying ewwww and he showed me this big polar bear that's in bed with him, and it had a bean and a piece of corn on it. He'd thrown up at some point. There was some on his shirt, a bit on the bear, and a bit on the crib sheet. Not much at all, really. Like if he'd had a violent burp or something. He had some of his oatmeal, a bit of milk, walked over to me, and barfed. Sigh. This was before the poo-splosion.

So yeah, Monday. A load of barf laundry, a harsh rinse-out of the jammies, had to clean the bathtub from the poop that ran out of the diaper.

He hasn't eaten anything out of the ordinary lately(even the chili we have once in a while) I wonder if he's getting more teeth, but this is way beyond the loose poops he's had previously. He's not feverish, he seems to be his usual self other than the barf spell this morning. I hope it stops soon. My Diaper Genie is getting quite the workout!

Bwahaha! Sorry to hear about all the poops and the laundry, but isn't it amazing? I know I never talked about poop nearly so much before becoming a mom... Biggrin Hope he gets his teeth in okay and his digestion goes back to normal!

It is still going on. He'll have like 2 fairly big "poops" in the morning, and then the rest of the day is all "sharts" haha. I don't know how else to put it.

The poor little thing, the rash is worse, the poop is just burning his skin the second it touches it. Sad

I don't really know what to do for him. Nothing seems to stop him up anymore. Bananas used to, but he seemed to have gotten over that.

He just screams when I change his diaper, I'd leave him without one, but I'm afraid of him pooping on the floor.

I thought I responded to this before. Apparently not. Sorry he's having problems. Dakota has/had a sensitivity to something that made him like that as a baby. It was HORRIBLE. I know you tried banana's, but have you tried the rest of the BRAT diet? Banana's, rice, applesauce (I think it was applesauce and not apples he wouldn't/couldn't eat fruit so I've never had to use this one) and toast. It takes time. It won't work overnight. But it's worth a shot. That and taking him to the pedi. Also extra milk sometimes helps and if you are giving him juice - stop. Juice can add to the problem. Hope that helps.

Hmmm hope you can figure out what the problem is, J had a horrible poop the other week when we were in TGI Fridays, it was flourescent green and leaked all over everything, I had to carry him to the toilet at arms length and strip him down it was gross. Fortunately that was the only one like it but blech I do not envy you. Hope he feels better soon Sad

We have had rice a couple times, but to compound this problem, he seems totally disinterested in food lately.

He will eat just a few bites of each meal, then ignore it. Which makes me think teeth, but who knows?

I don't allow him to have juice, so I know that's not the problem. It's just frustrating you know, since I KNOW he hasn't had anything new or wierd that would be doing this to him.

Sigh.

Teething may cause loose stools, but I don't think teething would cause what your describing would it? I think a trip to the pedi may be in order. Making the appt just might actually make him better.

I did call today, we have an appt. next Thurs (5th). I'm surprised it's so fast, our dr. is only in on Tues. and Thurs. Oh lordy I hope it gets better before then.

On a positive note, he keeps telling me "peepee", so I ask if he went peepee, and he says yes. And he has happily sat on the potty 2x, once yesterday morning, once tonight, for about 5-10 mins. each time. Nothing happens, but at least he initiated the potty sitting. And once today he told me "poopoo", and he had gone. Progress??

I will try giving him some applesauce tomorrow. I've never actually done the BRAT diet. Sierra had the opposite problem when she was little. Are those 4 things all you're supposed to give them, or can they have other stuff too?

Yay for pee on the potty!! Yeah I had the total opposite problem with Christian too. Plus there were 12 years in-between him and Dakota. I didn't see normal poo until I had Eli. And of course Faith has a similar issue to Dakota, but at least now I know what it is. She is just not quite as sensitive as him.
