Thanks ladies... thankfully its not her custom shirt we had made (that hasn't come out for anything! she's not putting that on till the second she takes pictures). She has a birthday shirt for her party and one for pictures... This one was the one for the party. I'm going to go get a new one at Carters today since I'm going up there anyway. The one I saw online is pretty cute. May work out okay, because the one we had was 24 months and too big on her, so I'll get an 18 month and it should be okay.
LOL Kilah... My problem is bows, clothes, shoes (Oh and Mrs I don't like shoes now owns way too many for Ava starting in size 5) and swimsuits.... I need an intervention.
Dan isn't going to be happy I bought Ava the bikini from Crazy8 but It doesn't look like a "bra" on top, which I think is what he didn't like about the idea of it (or maybe he just doesn't want me to buy things :)). It covered in ruffles and when he see's it on her, I'm sure he will think its cute.
Matt is gonna flip out over the bikini too. Lol. I surprised myself when I bought it. I never thought I'd buy my baby a bikini, haha. It's just so super stinking cute on her though! I love her little belly and how it sticks out!
I've been having shoe addiction problems too! Chloe got 4 more pairs while we've been here in CA! The worst part about that.......I didn't bring myself any closed toed shoes. We had to buy me a pair in Disneyland because I couldn't feel my toes anymore and it was raining. They are cute, but they don't go with anything, so I haven't been wearing them. I've been wearing flip-flops every day and freezing my toes off. I've spent nearly $100 on Chloe's shoe wardrobe, but I can't bring myself to spend $15-20 on a pair of cheapo boots from Payless for myself. I have issues.
I'm gonna be exhausted again today. Can someone explain to me why my 11mo old needs less sleep than I do??? Grrr. She's been going to bed at 9:30, waking up at 5 (wanting to eat, which I'm not doing. She just gets water), going back to sleep around 5:30-6ish and then waking up for the day at 7:30. I want to die.
At least we're up early to go to breakfast and window shop now. Gotta think of the positives, right? I am only bringing $20. This is gonna be haaaaaard.
I love the yellow and white bikini from Gymboree, but for some reason I have an addiction to swimsuits that look like animals (or strawberrys)... I realized her suits are FROG, BEE, LADYBUG... lol and strawberry.
I have a hard time buying anything for myself too. Dan has to do it. He knew I needed some new shirts so we he bought them for me. I need some new shoes too because I've worn the only pair I wear out, but I'm not going to say anything because soon enough here, I'll only be wearing sandals (as sooon as possible)
annmarie, i had that black and white swimsuit from target in my hands last night but talked myself out of it. Calista has a winnie the pooh swimsuit handed down from her cousins that fits her but she does need a new one! I just can't bring myself to buy it until we have an income coming in.
I also have a HARD time spending $ on myself. Dusty MADE me buy a few new tshirts before we went to Florida and it was horrible but it is soooo easy to spend it on the kids
I went into work this morning and got my id badge and keys to the building back. I work 3-11 every other weekend so far and i managed to pick up 2 shifts in March at the other location. It is about a 20-30 min drive to the other location and with the price of gas and my gas guzzling truck I don't know how many shifts I really want to pick up there
Yeah 127 Hours was up for best picture as was James Franco who played the guy. I saw the real guy on a Minute To Win It the other day. He was kind of goofy. But that's amazing what he did.
Jenny I hope your period gets better, that's just crazy What is Crypto?
That's awesome your first choice for Pre-School still has openings. Do you mind asking how much it costs for the 3 day thing? Is it all day or half day?
Gavin had swim trunks and a shirt to go with last year and he never used it This year we will though. Baby girl swimsuits are soo cute.
Steph-Osh Kosh was pretty awesome but I didn't like a lot of the summer stuff. Gavin still needed jeans and stuff but it was a lot of matching short and polo sets in colors that I didn't love. You may want to check it out first if summer stuff is what you want. They had other stuff that was really cute though, and jeans are only $10.
I had a dumb morning. I picked up the kid at the wrong place and the right place was far away and I was 30 minutes late. So I had to stay 30 minutes longer but I just hate being messed up/rushed/late like that. I have my family with 4 kids this evening, hoping they don't destroy my car again!
Hope preschool registration goes well, Ann-marie. And that's awesome that it is your first choice!
Steph - I hope you are able to make it to Osh Kosh!
Lol, about needing an intervention, Brittany. I was seriously thinking that with all of Halloway's clothes. But seriously, just being pregnant with a 2nd baby has helped with that a lot. I still buy her too much, but unless I truly LOVE it, I can talk myself out of it by rationing that the baby is going to need a WHOLE new wardrobe starting in 3-6 month clothes, and Halloway is set til next spring technically.
I have a hard time buying shoes/clothes for myself now that I have Halloway. Even if it's cheap. I'm just like "But think what $15 could buy Halloway..." When we went to NM 2 weeks after she was born, I was still trudging around in my maternity pants, convinced I'd never be able to wear real pants again. Well, after being there for about a week my mat pants were litterally falling off of me and Jaime dragged me to Dillards and made me try on capris and I found a pair I really liked - they were $80 and I cried when he bought them because all I could think of was ALL the gymboree I could buy H with that money, lol.
Not sure if we'll make it to OshKosh today or not. My mom is working (boo!), and we had a vet visit for the dog. We came back home, and it was just too tempting to give them a nap in their beds, so that's what I did. We'll see when they wake up. If it's early, then we may still head on out there (it's 40 min away), if not, then maybe we'll go tomorrow. Thanks for the heads-up Whiteny! I think we'll start there and see what I can find. I'll pick up the rest at CP or Carters. I tend to do a lot of clearance shopping at the end of the season for Carson, so I think I'm getting close to being done with him already. I may not have to buy much for Jackson, assuming that he will be in 18mo this summer, which I think he will be.
Poor dog! He's been yiping (sp??) lately, and I told the vet about it. She found that his anal glands were impacted So she expressed them completely and hopefully he'll be good to go. I'm bringing him back in 6 weeks to make sure they're still cleared up. I also have to get his teeth cleaned. I've known it since last year, but man, we just don't have the $$ up front! It's so expensive! And last summer, he had to stay overnight there, and that cost us $500 up front. I wish vets would set up payment plans. It's so hard to pay for it all at once. But good news is, we were able to get his rabies shot a little bit early (it was up in June), so I won't have to go back in for yet another visit. Phew! So he's good to go for another year
Damn that's expensive. I hate paying the vet.
I hate paying the vet too. When our 2 pomeranians got sick (within a year of each other) we spent over $20k on them. It wiped out our retirement savings entirely. There really should be medical insurance for pets too. We figured out last year that for our 4 cats and 1 dog we spend $3k in medical bills (lots of old kitty tooth and bladder problems) and around $1.5k on food. Furry friends are expensive! That doesn't include toys, treats or chewies either! It's like having another kid sometimes! I agree with you about the up front payment Steph....they need to have payment plans! I hate when they come in the room and show you a $700 bill and say "How would you like to pay for this". I always want to say "I really don't know! Have you seen my bank account??? I guess I want to pay via money fairy!"
We had the BEST morning out. Chloe is so in love with Johnny Rockets! It cracks me up! I think it's okay and all, but Chloe smiles the minute we walk in the door. The waiters seem so nice there too and always take time to talk to her and dance for her. She got a balloon, coloring book, a hat and her own plate of french toast today. She was just beaming from ear to ear. After that we wandered around the outlet stores. It's so nice out today (finally!) so it was great to walk around outside and just enjoy the weather. I was soooo good too! I didn't buy anything! I just did my exchanges at Carters and my new total after couponing was $1.08! My grand total for our outing today= $6.08
I did eye a Coach diaper bag that I will be going back for in early April though.
Oh, and I got a notice that my stroller is now in stock and should ship tomorrow!!!!!! I am so super excited!!!!!!!
We're home now and Chloe is passed out. We have to run out and get paper towels later today, but that's about all we have going on. Maybe we'll go to the park and enjoy the nice day too.
Oh, and YAY for preschool Ann-marie! I bet Fi is going to have such a fun time!
I haven't had a chance to read much...just wanted to jump in and say hi.
Ok...going to read some while I have a minute....
I really think the iPhone needs a pg.org app lol
Yeah, I'm heartless when it comes to animals. If we were ever in a million years to have one (which I wouldn't) the first time it was sick and cost money, it'd be gone. But I'm a terrible person and I know that. I know people love their animals just like family - I just personally don't have the connection (and I have had animals as a kid). I just think of all the travelling I could do with that kind of money, ha ha. And I'd wipe out my retirment if my children were ill, but that's it. I would freak out if we ever had to touch our retirement.
So, Halloway and I went to the park. Then when we came home, she was still in a good mood so I put a blanket out and started picking up the huge sticks/tree limbs in our backyard. We had a major storm about two weeks ago that just killed our trees. But I've been lazy and haven't gotten around to picking them up. So hopefully this weekend Jaime can chop them up and we can take them to the dumpster. I'm planning on having Halloway's birthday party outside - weather allowing - and just realized I don't have a lot of time before April 2 to make our backyard entertaining ready, haha.
Oh, and I realize I'm due at the end of August, and that it is only the beginning of March - but August is only 5 months away!
And apparently Halloway likes yoghurt today. Typically if I offer her a bite of mine she'll only take 1 or 2 bites. Well, she ate the whole 6 oz. container!!
It's so quiet around here today! Where is everyone?
We went shopping today... well my friend, sil and I. It was pretty fun. Carters doesn't carry the birthday shirt I wanted but we went to Kohls too and they only had 1 left so I ended up getting it in 24M. It will be a little big but thats okay.
I also got my 'randomness' order from Mamabargains and it was actually pretty fun. We got a cloth diaper and I've been considering switching to cloth diapers (at least part time), I didn't realize cloth diapers can come in "all in ones" and not be all these pieces. Dan thinks I'm a little nuts but I don't really care since I'll be the one doing it.
Morning ladies! I'm going to try to get out to OshKosh today since I didn't get there yesterday. Maybe we'll leave right after Jackson wakes up. I'm hoping that the outlet mall has SOMETHING for the boys to wear on Easter. I've been less than impressed with the selection this year. I wasn't impressed last year either. Surely Gymboree or CP has something for boys?? It's not going to be as "warm" as yesterday, but I guess I'll just bundle them up real good. It's an outdoor mall.
I'm so ready for it to warm up out there. I'm so sick of playing inside. Carson's been begging me to play on his swingset. I feel so bad when I have to tell him no. And he'll just randomly say to me, "Mommy, is spring coming out?" Sweetheart!
Brittany - yay for randomness! I'm glad you liked it! Yeah, AIO's are really simple. I went with inserts, so they are two pieces, but that was for drying time. They dry quicker if I can take them apart. But I don't *have* to, so that's nice too.
Steph - I hope you are able to find the boys some clothes today! And something for Easter.
I bought Halloway's Easter dress last year on sale at Macy's. I got a $60 dress for $7, I was pretty proud of myself. But I bought it in 18mos and thinking I should have done 12 mos. Then again, Easter isn't until the end of April, so it might not be an issue at all. Does Easter seem incredibly late this year to anyone else? Maybe I just don't pay attention to when it typically is, but it was on the 4th last year (easy to remember because H was 4 days old). And this year is the 24th.
I am hosting a playdate this morning. I should really be getting dressed and picking up, I'm just not motivated.
Yeah, Easter is really late this year. MIL's birthday is the 26th, and she said this is the closest Easter has been to her birthday that she can remember.
Have fun with your playdate!!
Sorry I wasn't chatty yesterday. In the afternoon Rowynn slept a long time and I just laid here on the couch with her and then after dinner when I'm usually on I was SO TIRED. I stayed up until Rowynn went to sleep and then I just laid on the couch and didn't move until I got up the energy to brush my teeth and go to bed. Of course this morning Fiona got up at like..6:00 and wouldn't go back to bed. So I'm going to be DEAD tonight.
Since I had to run errands yesterday I didn't get all my laundry washed, so I'm going to do that this morning/early afternoon hopefully before I die. haha I don't know how I'm going to get everything ready for Rowynn's birthday when I'm this tired. I stayed up till like, midnight working on Fiona's cake/cleaning the house. We don't have the parties here (we do it at my moms because her house is bigger) but my MIL and SIL are coming and will have to come to my house, so it will need to be actually clean...haha.
The preschool is filled by lottery. So we'll know in a few weeks if she got in or if she's on a waiting list. Then if she ends up on a waiting list (probably in my mind) I'll put her on a few more I guess. But they said if you end up on the waiting list this early usually you get a spot. They have 4 classes of 16 kids...so that's 64 3 year olds. SURELY there aren't so many 3 year olds in town (that are going to preschool) that I can't find a spot SOMEWHERE. Whoever asked how much it is..for 2 day it's like 870something and for 3 day it's 10something. It's from 8:45-12:00 and it's from August - May. And that's for the entire year.
Okay, I'm going to attempt to go back and comment on some stuff, sorry if I leave someone/thing out.
I almost NEVER buy stuff for myself either. For that very reason. I think "I could get sooooooo much for the girls though". There are times I HAVE to have stuff because I have nothing that fits, but I will wait it out and put it off until I absolutely have no choice. Last year I got two pairs of 3$ flip flops from Target on clearance and wore those things all.the.time. They're still in good shape too. haha.
Kelly, sorry you had to go back to work. Hopefully Dusty will find something soon and you won't have to work as much. Is gas crazy expensive there too? I want to have a panic attack every time I drive by a gas station. It's insane.
Whitney, that sucks you picked up the wrong kid. I hope your later visit went well though and they didn't destroy your car.
Tera, that sounds like an awesome day! Cheap too! I can't wait till you get your stroller!
Brittany, that sounds like fun! Oh, and you'll have to let me know about those diapers.
Steph, I don't like any of the easter stuff for girls out either. I'm hoping they just haven't gotten it all out yet maybe. I hope you have a good trip today though!
Ann-marie - I am so sorry you're so tired. I can totally relate, but I know that doesn't make it any better for you.
I hate lottery schools, bahaha. I know they do it to be "fair" but it still drives me insane. And wow, that's not a ba prce at all! All the pre-schools around here that I would consider putting H into (that's not like a daycare, but an actual pre-school...because some of them call themselves a "preschool" but so are not) are at minimum $250 a month, and that's just for 2 days a week. I mean, it's doable, but that just seems crazy for pre-school where they have my kid for 4 hours 2x a week. But I'm sure if I broke it down and really did the math, it's nothing.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of the Easter stuff that's out either. It makes me happy I bought H's dress last year. It's yellow. I was just so excited I had a dark kid who pulls off yellow, because I love yellow so much!
Well, my house is mostly picked up, except for the library, but no one should be in there anyway. And I'm dressed. Didn't get a shower, oh well.
I haven't looked at Children's Place for dresses. We don't do "real" easter dresses because we don't go to church, but I like them to have a cute dress to wear though. I just pulled up CP (Because Rowynn is about to take a nap) and I like three of their dresses. So that's good.
I haven't liked anything gymboree has had except a few pieces...which is awesome so I don't feel the need to buy stuff.
I think I'll look on the carters site too..
That is so cute! But of course, they only have it for toddlers. So boo.
LOL I am color blind because I saw that dress yesterday at Carters and I thought it was Black
The ecobumz come with inserts too but you don't technically have to use them either. I'm trying to figure out where you put the insert :). I'm so happy we stopped using the newer luvs. Ava's rash is nearly gone a day and a half after we stopped.
I'll be back on in a bit and read more. I couldn't fall asleep till nearly 4am and got up at 7:30... my kitchen is really clean though now
Hey ladies! I'm back! I haven't had time to catch up, but have a question for you. I am looking into becoming a Signing Time instructor. I'm just curious, would you be interested in taking a baby signing time class with your baby to learn sign? I think it costs between $150- $200 for both you and your child and includes 16 classes.
I don't know if I would do it Kelli, but I know tons of people that would. That's not a bad price. That's like 12.5 a class, so I see lots of people doing it. I think that would be really cool for you though!
Brittany, I did too! hahaha I was like "hm..it's not? " I like it better navy though. I really wish they had it in baby and toddler sizes though. That's awesome that your house is clean. Sucks you couldn't sleep though.
I really want onion rings from sonic and a chicken sandwich from chickfila. That's not going to happen today though. Oh well, something to look forward to for this weekend maybe.
Lol did you end up getting it for Fiona? Its seriously the darkest Navy I've seen in a long time! But I liked it! I wanted to get some dresses yesterday but I couldn't justify spending 30$... and my mom bought Ava's easter dress already. Its probably going to be too big. She bought her a 2T.
I like the navy and white dresses they have at Gymboree, but for some reason I'd only like one if I had 3 kids and each could wear a different one together (isn't that odd). I just love how they coordinate.
No, not yet. I'm going to the Carters outlet/store at the end of March and we'll see what they have there. Plus, I want them to match/coordinate.
Welcome back Kelli! If I had the money and it worked in my schedule I would love to the class I do think it's a good price and it's kinda trendy so I see moms wanting to do it. Sounds like a good business venture to me!
What kind of outfits do boys wear for Easter? Eh I don't see myself getting him a special outfit. We don't really do much for Easter anymore anyway. Maybe have dinner with my grandparents. I never understood how they figure out the date of Easter.
Sorry Brittany and Ann-Marie for being tired/not getting enough sleep You should get your food Ann-marie!
Have fun with your playdate Kilah!
Glad you had a good day yesterday Tera!
My new schedule is funky. I have visits early in the morning like everyday and then another later in the afternoon/evening. So I have this huge gap in between most days. This week I have to do monthlies so I can go to the office, and I can work out and do a few things around the house or see Gavin. But it just sucks to start early and end late everyday. Oh well I know my schedule will change in like a week or two.
I didn't end up getting sick, so I'm going to work out again but no more trying to run on the treadmill. That thing is evil.
I can't freakin believe Gavin's birthday is tomorrow.
OMG I can't believe its Gavins birthday tomorrow either!!! YAY What are you guys doing tomorrow Whitney?
I just found out my little brother and his girlfriend are driving to Utah for Ava's birthday!!! I am so so so excited! I wish my mom would be able to come but she'll be in Europe
Brett and Meredith though are 2 of my favorite people in the world and they love Ava so much They are both vegan though so it should be a fun week of cooking for/with them...
I had to google how to get the easter date last year, because I was confused. It's basically...
Easter is the first sunday after the full moon on or after the day of the vernal equinox. Because of this, easter can never occur before March 22 or later than April 25.
So yeah. haha. That's my bit of trivia for the day.
I want that food Whitney, but we're broke-ish and I have food in the house. So boo. But the weekend I can justify it. Maybe even Friday.
That sucks your schedule is like that, hopefully not for long.
and OMG I can't believe his birthday is tomorrow!!! That means Rowynn's is in like..6 days OMG. Craziness.
Brittany, that's so exciting!! I'm so glad your brother is coming.
Kelli - I would probably pay $150 for 16 signing classes. $200 seems like a lot (to me) though. We pay $50 for 12 swim lessons. Our local baby signing class is $85 for 12 lessons (and I'd have done them except they conflict with swimming). I don't know, once 3 digit prices start beginning with something other than a "1" it seems like a lot to me, ha ha.
Ann-marie - I like that Carter's dress. It does look black to me.
I've not been a fan of Gymboree either lately. But that's good for my bank account. Not to mention that 3 of the things I bought H last time, the hems fell out when I washed them. Luckily I could fix them, but when you spend that kind of $$ on clothes, I shouldn't *have* to fix them. Blah. Although I really liked the pink dress at Gymbo with the white bow, but when I saw it in person I HATED the material. It was super scratchy.
Sucks about your work schedule, Whitney. But lucky it won't last too long. And yay for Gavin's birthday!
Brittany - yay for your brother coming up! Exciting!
So, the playdate was fun. I met a new mom, and she's pregnant and due at the beginning of August, so that is cool.
I have ate nothing but fish (cod, breaded and fried by Jaime, because that is the ONLY way/kind I currently want) and Krispy Kreme donuts for the pat 48 hours. Fantastic.
I felt the exact same way about the pink dress with white bow. Thought it was super cute online, but then in person, I hated the material. LOL I'm all worried I won't have anything to use my gymbucks on next month because I haven't really liked anything since the strawberry line. Not that I HAVE to use my gymbucks... but lol
Hmm fried fish and donuts! Sounds good to me!
I hear being broke! Actually I'm kind of screwed and have just enough for rent until Monday. I'm going to have to see if I can borrow some for the rest of Gavin's party materials, his present and his pictures. I'm kind of freaking out about it actually.
We're not really doing anything tomorrow. I have to work most of the day. Tom will be off so they will have some good play time. Maybe he'll get a treat His Pirate party is on Saturday and it's going to be amazing.
Interesting about Easter. Reinforces the fact that it came from a Pagan holiday haha.
This is my feelings exactly!
Interesting about Easter. Yeah...I love how all the "Christian" holidays are stemmed from pagan holidays. Actually, they just took the Pagans Holidays and meshed them with (at the time) Catholic holidays during the crusades in order to make converting easier, ha ha. Religion cracks me up sometimes (and I am "religious" to a point).
Oh, and speaking of religion, my really good Mom-friend Shelley an I were talking about pre-school for the girls, and she's pretty sure she wants to send L to the catholic pre-school/school here, which I'll do if we are still here too. She's not religious, but I think I talked her into joining the church and showing up a few times a year for the tuition break, bahaha. We are horrible people.
Oh, I really like this dress! http://www.target.com/Infant-Toddler-Girls-Cherokee-Bubble/dp/B004DW8E0E/ref=br_1_4?ie=UTF8&id=Infant%20Toddler%20Girls%20Cherokee%20Bubble&node=13749031&searchSize=30&searchView=grid3&searchPage=2&sr=1-4&qid=1299089561&rh=&searchBinNameList=style_name%2Csleeve_type%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin%2Ctarget_com_character-bin&searchRank=pmrank&frombrowse=1 It doesn't look that great in the picture, but when I actually saw it at Target this past weekend I LOVED it. But I have no use for it.
I think that dress would be really cute on. (the one from Target) Kilah.
I don't think it's horrible about your friend though. But I'm not religious at all either sooo..yeah.
Whitney, we're lucky that MIchael is getting his bonus this Friday. So we're going to pay off some debt, save some for when we go to the carters store in March, I'll get some money to buy some clothes when I need them..and get a few things I need for Rowynn's birthday next week.
Then I'm going to file our taxes this weekend too and we'll put that in our savings till we go on vacation in May.
So we had leftover chicken and pasta, but Fiona wanted a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and it sounded good so that's what me and Rowynn had too. And apples.
Still catching up, but I was looking at swimsuits for the twins last night and fell in love with this outfit for Hudson: http://www.crazy8.com/shop/asst_department.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302775071&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474395917465&bmUID=1299090390122
And the coordinating one for the twins:http://www.crazy8.com/shop/asst_department.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302774567&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474395917465&bmUID=1299090394686
And i think I'm going with these swimsuits: http://www.childrensplace.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10001_-1_697392_144908_26601|132887_boy|swimwear_bigboys
Girls' stuff is so much more fun to look at!
The last time I saw my doctor she told me to stop breastfeeding immediately as it's not good for the developing baby. I haven't stopped breastfeeding and feel like a sudden stop would be horrible for Clara and also bad for my body/new baby! I've been having horrible wretched nausea this week and my doctor said she'd prescribe me Diclectin, especially since I have the wedding next week. Well, it turns out I can't have the Diclectin now because I'm still nursing as it will pass to Clara. Ugh! I don't know what to do now I don't know how I'll manage to get down the aisle feeling like this.
Lol about the tuition break.
Yeah I get paid on Monday so then we'll be alright. We just got behind this month b/c I didn't have as many hours, we had to get Tom's car registered and that kind of crap.
And I JUST got my W2 from Pizza Hut. They sent it to the wrong address the first time (idiots) so now we can FINALLY file our taxes. When we get that money we are for sure getting a new computer, and put the rest in savings. If we have enough leftover after the computer and $1,000 in savings it will probably go towards paying off one of the cars.
Sally- Sorry you are feeling terrible IDK about the BFing....never been in that situation.
Kilah- That is pretty funny about the whole going to church to get the discount for the school. lmao
Ann-Marie- I love pb&j and so do the girls....I know we weren't supposed to technically give it to them until 2, but they took it off my plate lol...
Ok I really need to go file my taxes since I get EIC this year lo...maybe I won't have to pay back! But have you guys heard about the whole 'government running out of money'
Sally - BFing while pregnant will NOT affect the baby at ALL. That's about the silliest thing I've ever heard. You'll probably be hungrier and thirstier, but that's it. The growing baby gets all the nutrients first, then your BM, then you. So you have to make sure you're eating enough for YOU, but I wouldn't worry about weaning yet if you and Clara are not ready. I was pregnant and super nauseaus at my wedding. I remember my mom telling me if I got sick to just tell everyone it was nerves (since no one knew I was pregnant excpet Jaime and my parents). Don't know what to tell you about the meds though. Is there something else you could take?
Kelli - I really love those outfits for boys. Love the colors!
Whitney - yeah, we haven't filed our taxes yet either...we are so behind, ha ha. But unlike you, we've had all of our paperwork for quite a while now.
So I just spent 30 mins reading birthstories on the Feb 11 board. They make me cry, ha ha.
Sally, it's a myth that it's "bad for the baby" when you're pregnant. The only time you have to be concerned is if you have a history of preterm labor. Breastfeeding causes uterine contractions, so if you have a history it could exacerbate that. As long as you're getting enough nutrition/taking your vitamins it should be alright.
As for the nausea, sorry. I have no insight on that one.
Tamika, I think you're only supposed to wait till 2 if you have a history of allergies. You should wait till 1 for allergenic food for the most part. I had a shellfish allergy as a child though, so we wait till 2 for that. But I gave Rowynn peanut butter about 2 months ago. I also gave her eggs incredibly early. We don't have a history of any of that though.
I think the government is always running out of money. .. But no, I haven't heard about it. I try not to read news because it bums me out. hahaha
Whitney, yeah, we got a little behind because we ate out a lot while Michael was sick.
Kelly, that stuff is SO CUTE. I love those little vests.
AnnMarie- I gave the girls eggs super early too! LOL....Yea I didn't have a hx of allergies.
Kelli- I would take the sign class.
My doctor has always pushed formula... I don't think she's a big supporter of BF but whenever I was in and BF she would always say "good for you with the BF, still going strong!" I know it's not true that you shouldn't BF when pregnant this is why I didn't take her advice. I'm just going to have to tough it out I guess.
Yeah, I gave H eggs (and everything else, lol) incredibly early. She's okay, unless it causes baby's to be onery.
Can the government be running out of money when we don't really have any in the first place? Ha ha.
hahahaha Kilah...right....but apparently they may have to shut down..which includes closing some government things...idk it all gets on my nerves.
I also gave the girls lots of stuff early. I ate it when I was a kid soooo
Well, I know they put gov't salaries on some sort of freeze. So the likelihood that Jaime can get any kind of raise in the next 3-5 yrs is pretty much nil. Blah
Kilah- What does Jaime do? I can never remember what anyone does. Oh wait, I can't remember anything anymore, not even my own age!
You ladies sure were chatty while I was gone!
LOL Kelli!! Oh, I'll be honest and say that I probably wouldn't take the class. I just look it up online and use it.
I didn't try PB with Carson until after 2. I'll probably do it pretty soon with Jackson though. He's had eggs, and it was pretty early. We don't eat shellfish, so no one's had that.
So I think that what I got the boys for Easter was last year's line or something. I can't find what I got them on the Gymbo website. And one of the ladies in there mentioned that she had her son wear the outfit that I got them last year for Easter. Cause I was going to tell you guys that we must have different taste in clothes, because what I saw for girls there was adorable! LOL! But I didn't like the girl stuff that they had online.
So yeah, I manged to find a button up top and a sweater vest for both boys. I got them the same button up shirt, but different vests that "go" together. Jackson's is white while Carson's is brown.
Aha! Found it! Here's the shirt: http://archive.gymbofriends.com/archive_view.php?id=51778
and Carson's vest: http://archive.gymbofriends.com/archive_view.php?id=51777
Jackson's vest is exactly the same, only in white. They don't have a picture of that one though...
I also bought Carson a Cowboy shirt from Gymbo for Jackson's party. But for the life of me, I can't find it. I gave him the choice between the Sherriff (with a picture of a badge) or the Cowboy (with a picture of a hat), and he chose the Cowboy I love that he can make the decisions, because I would have been stuck there all day trying to figure out which one to buy
I got a few things at OshKosh. You're right Whitney, there really wasn't much to choose from. I did get a few clearance items though. CP had a lot of $1.99 stuff. I got 4 short sleeve polos for Jackson in various sizes. Oh, and a pair of $2.99 sweat pants for Carson for his gym class I'm going to need to go back though and pick up some stuff for summer still, but this was the best I could do by myself with both boys. Who were angles by the way! I can't believe how good they were for me!
Steph- glad the boys were good for you!
So I checked the repair status for my camera and it says it has been completed! So excited to get it back. Seems like it was done pretty quickly, hope they actually repaired it and didn't say Forget this! She needs to buy a new one, and just sent it back to me! Haha. Maybe they sent another refurbished one instead. Hmmm. Can't wait to find out!
Off to workout. Using fitness balls today. I'm a bit scared after seeing some of the moves I'm supposed to do. Crossing my fingers I don't fall on my a**!
Jaime does radar for Navy aircraft....waaaay over my head, lol.
Steph- I'm glad you found things for the boys! I love that buttonup shirt, it looks like what Kelli chose for her boys.
Ann-marie - I remember you had Emery on your list of names. You probably know this all ready, but just Emer is Celtic. I was reading my Encyclopedia of Mythology and saw it.
And speaking of mythology, I saw a preview for the movie "Thor" the other day. Movie looks good, but Hollywood is retarded. They pronounced it with the "h", which is completely incorrect. It's pronounced "Tor" like "I tore a piece of paper." If you are going to make a multi-million dollar movie, you'd think they'd at least pronounce the name correctly.
Thanks Kilah. I was looking for the origin this morning for my spreed sheet...haha
Yeah. I made a spreed sheet with the name/ the ranking on the ssa site in 2009 (the most recent results they have) and the origin.
I need to call my doctor and make an appt but I honestly can't remember what to say "um..I took a pregnancy test and it's positive..I think I need to make an appt?" haha you think since I've done this twice already I'd remember?
Steph, glad the boys were good! Glad you found some stuff too.
Kelli yay for your camera!!! So exciting.
