I started Widow for One Year and it is all coming back to me in a flash.
WARNING - THIS IS A MAJOR SPOILER
I had forgotten about all the sex in the book, and the scene that really sticks out in my mind is when Ruth gets raped by her father(?)'s co-worker. He is so vivid in his writing and scene setting. I totally remember why this was such a powerful book. I'm not much of a re-reader, but I'm glad I'm reading this again. Also, what do you think about all his, I don't know what to call it, telling you whats going to happen? I can't say that I'm a fan, and I would rather he not say it and let me be surprised. But on the other hand, how those things come about is always interesting. Anyway, just wanted to do a pre-chat chat since we have both read it.
