Appointment today!

This was my second every two weeks appointment. I seriously cannot believe we are to that point already! It went pretty well, but I am starting to get slightly freaked out that this will be happening and soon!!

My BP was good (112/62) and I did not gain any weight (still hanging stong at 168). Finn is still not head down, little bugger! All the other kids were locked and loaded at this point but I know he still has plenty of time. He is measuring 33 weeks now which is no surprise, my babies tend to be huge!

2012 will be here in a few days and we are having our babies then! Wow!! Getting so close Smile

I also can't believe that we are so close! Awesome job on not gaining any more weight. You really did look awesome in your last belly pic so good job you! Have you gone early with your other ones? And I love the new siggy pic!

You are already having your 2-weekers? I have my last 4-weeker in two weeks then on to the 2-weekers! Crazy!!! I have gained a total of 5 1/2 pounds but doubt I will stick with that. lol

I've been doing the every 2 weeks for two visits now, but probably to monitor my vertigo and my BP was a little higher last time (138/70) so the doc is keeping an eye on that as well. I'm really stressed out right now, though, so that's probably why my BP has gone up a little. And I'm not even gonna mention the weight gain because I'm way past all of you, LOL. Hard not to gain weight when you're not allowed to be active. But that's okay because I know it comes off.

Congrats on a great appointment! I can't believe we're in the home stretch now. So exciting!!

I've gone late with my last two babies, so I'm not expecting Finn to make his appearance anytime near March 1st Smile

Ya, i can't believe how close we are!! When the dr. Told me to come back in 2 weeks i looked at her like, "already?" i didn't say it though. But now the nesting thing is sorta kicking in...i was cleaning and organizing all day today!

When my Dr. said he would see me right after the new year, I said "Is something wrong?" he gave me the are you crazy look. That's when I realized I was on the two weekers already. Third time around I should have been expecting it, but I guess I'm still as clueless as my first.

SO excited for single digit weeks countdown!

Great to hear the appt went well. I'm curious, how much more time does the baby have to turn around? Whenever I asked which way the baby was laying, they always told me "oh, they are constantly moving around" so I can't tell which way my little girl is and I'm curious.

congrats on a great appointment! hope he turns head down for you soon...you're right he has plenty of time to get going in the right direction. Smile

i hadn't gained any weight at my 30 week appointment last week! actually down 1 pound! yay! i had been gaining SO rapidly for the last 3 months, i was really hoping it would taper off for these last few weeks, and it looks like that will be the case. my MW was like "how did you not gain weight over the holidays?" she also gave me option of coming back in 2 weeks or waiting 4 weeks again, so i opted for 4 weeks. i'm sure i'll have to start going every 2 after that and then every week the last 3 weeks or so. we're getting so close!

dee--my MW always kinda feels around on my belly when she's measuring and can tell me how she suspects the baby is positioned based on that..."here's her head, here's her bottom" etc. my little one has been head down for a while now. i can tell, too, because i feel her strong legs kicking me up under the ribs and weaker little taps down near my bladder (her little fists). also one side of my belly is usually really firm (where her back/bottom is) and the other side softer, but this changes as she shifts from side to side.

Dee, the doc can use Leopolds maneuvers on you to determine how the baby is positioned. We learned them in nursing school and I've been doing them on myself...lol! Babe can still move as long as no body part is actually engaged into the pelvis.

Heidi, that is so neat. I always wondered how you could tell what position the baby was laying. Other than the occasional foot or back I never know what they are doing in there.

I actually had an appt today and the dr did an ultrasound. He said the baby is lying oblique, which I didn't know what exactly that meant until I googled it when I came home and it doesn't look very comfortable! I hope that she changes position!
