Better late than never.. lol

Hi all.. I know I'm on the late fraight when it comes to posting lol but figured I am better late than never, I'm also on my iPhone and not posting this from my pc due to puter probs..

Update on pregnancy:
I delivered a healty baby girl on 3/6/2012
Aimee Lee Rose was born at 6:39pm weighing in at 8lbs 8oz and 20inches long happy and healthy as can be she scored a 9 on her apgar and today she is one day shy from being 6 weeks old (time sure is flying by) I'm still trying to bf but with pcos it has been a challenge with milk supply so she gets formula and bmilk she loves bfing but gets frustrated with not getting enough out lol she is a very easy going baby sleeping through the night.. We feed her at around 9:30pm she goes right to sleep and wakes up like clockwork at about 4:30am gets her diaper changed and goes back to sleep until close to 8:30am to eat again lol I love it! She's also smiling big and starting to coo its so adorable And just when u think you couldn't possibly love her anymore than you already do she does something else that's just toooo darn cute hehe I'm sure all of you can relate to.. Being a mom is the best thing in the world.. Congrats to all of u and your healthy lil' ones.. Enjoy the moments they go by all too quickly.. I'll try again to get some pics on here.. I have link and pw to hospital pics for those interested.. http://www.bellababyphotography.com you will need to enter a password and that is 0306aimeerose

Congratulations! I can't see the pictures for some reason but I'm sure she's adorable! I have trouble with BFing too, also because of PCOS. It sucks. I'm ready to throw in the towel but really trying to stick it out until she's at least 8 weeks old. She's getting mostly formula at this point but at least she gets *some* breast milk. I try to pump when I can so I know what she's getting but I keep getting discouraged at the little amount that comes out. I do put her to the breast also and thankfully there is no nipple confusion but she almost always chugs a bottle right after nursing because she's still hungry. Sad. Sad

Lol wow sounds like we're a lot similar to the way things are going here with the bfing.. We went out n bought a pump for 200$ only for it to collect dust.. Cos I wasn't getting about a half oz out using it very frustrating lol not to mention disappointing.. I'm not giving up yet!! I'm so determined haha

With the website for pics I had to fix the URL cos I had it wrong first off but it's Http://www.bellababyphotography.com you click on view photos and it will ask for a password.. The password is: 0306aimeerose (first two o's are zeros)

That worked...she is so beautiful!!

My sister (a lactation consultant) told me I could take metformin and it would help increase my supply but I'm nervous about it. It's said that only a very minimal amount passes through breast milk but I'm still worried about any long term effects that no one may know about yet. I'm a worry wort.

Congratulations on your daughter!

I don't know anything about PCOS so this may not be helpful, but the herb Fenugreek can help increase supply and is safe to use. I used it with good results after I had my daughter. The only down side is that it makes you smell like maple syrup. That may seem like a good thing, but trust me, you get pretty sick of smelling maple all the time!

I was told the same thing about the metfomin by a bf consultant as well she also pulled out a bfing pill guide on what meds do and don't pass through breastmilk an at what strength if it passes through at all.. I'm also a worry wart and don't want to take anything either even though I'm supposed to be.. Lol and im glad the link worked 4 u.. Your lo's a QT as well Smile I love the pic on ur siggy soo cute!

Fenugreek comes in pill form (should be available at health food stores and maybe even Walmart or Target) and I do agree that it works. I noticed that for me, it makes me feel sick. I read that it can lower blood sugar and I sometimes have a problem with low blood sugar as it is. I took it for about a week and just felt awful. Sad
