Exercise question

Is anyone else still working out or exercising? I work out 4 or 5 times a week and this week was the first time I have had any issues. On Wednesday I do a spin class and felt like my lady parts were being rubbed uncomfortably by the seat. (If that isn't TMI I don't know what is?!) And yesterday after my Bosu class, which is cardio and strength training, I got a weird spot in my vision. I have SUPER low blood pressure so I think that's part of it, but has anyone else had any issues when they work out?
I played competitive adult tennis with both previous pg until I was 8 months pg and felt great so this is kind of weird. Thoughts?

I haven't been for a few weeks but am still hoping to do Zumba - I'll definitely tone it down a bit though. lol

i had great intentions of continuing to walk/jog, but that only lasted a couple weeks before i started getting too sick to exercise. i still take the dog for daily walks, but they're pretty short and at a slow pace. i used to go to spin classes regularly and loved it! but, yeah, i definitely couldn't do it pregnant. as long as we're giving TMI, my lady parts get really swollen and sensitive during pregnancy. so maybe that's the issue for you, too. i tried horseback riding while pregnant with DS and was super sore for days afterwards! bad idea.

as for other types of exercise that don't irritate the crotch region Wink my dr. just said to stay really well hydrated and aim for a heart rate of 140 or below. with those precautions, you can help keep your bp from dropping too low. we don't want you passing out on the gym floor!

I'm still working out 5x a week - kickboxing and cardio class - the main thing is you keep hydrated! The baby can't hydrated if you're not and they can't cool down fast either. The 140 hr is a hard thing to maintain...I tend to make sure I can carry a small convo while working out...if I don't feel like I could, I step back a bit.

Great advice ladies! And thanks for not making me feel crazy about the weird swelling. Smile
