Hope to be here!!

DH and I will hopefully start TTC in June so I really hope to be here for March. We have 2 kiddos already, DD is 2 and DS is 8 months. I would love to have at least 4. I really love the spacing of about a year and a half (most of the time at least) and would love to have that spacing again. We have been lucky enough to get pregnant immediately with both kiddos so I have my fingers crossed that we can do it again. Well I can’t wait to get to know everyone (when people get here).

Hey Mandy, I'm Jennifer.

I'm hoping to be here too!! DH and I were going to start TTC our 2nd back in November of '10, but certain plans required us to put TTC on hold until June. Can't wait to add to our family and give my DD a baby like she's been asking for since before Christmas Wink

Hiya!!
I'd love a spring baby as well... I think Im going to TTc next month, but in reality it'd be better if it took a few tries, and I ended up with a spring or summer baby (So I could take spring/summer qtr off of school) A baby in the middle of the qtr wouldnt be ideal, then I'd either have to have a newborn + finish the quarter, or take a random middle quarter off, yikes!!!

So hopefully it all works out!! We have two sept bdays in our family, and Im march, so it'd be nice to have two sept and two march!!

This is my first potential 2012 home as well. I doubt I'll end up here, but it seems like a good place to start! I'm already stocked up on OPK's and tests thanks to some friends who got pregnant quickly. Smile

DH and I are thinking of TTC #3 in June so that will put us here. Right now we have gotten rid of condoms except around O time so there is a chance it could happen before then. But for now we will be actively TTC in June. I'm hoping for a March baby but with the way my cycles are going it will be very beginning of March or very beginning of April and there are far too many birthdays in April in my family, so I'm hoping for a March baby. Oh and I'm hoping to avoid February baby because DS2 is a February baby and I'm hoping my kids will have their own birth month and not have to share with a sibling. lol. Though i will be happy no matter what month.

I'm really not that anal or controlling. Wink I just seem to over think things. In the end it's all in Gods hands.

Hi all,

We're planning to start TTC in June as well, so this is my first possible BB. I think we're going to try Shettles for a girl, so it may take a few months. Which is fine with me because I really loved having a May baby!

I see a few other 08 moms on here! My son was born in May 08, and I am getting excited to give him a brother or sister!

Like Jennifer, we were originally going to start TTC last November but also had to put it on hold for career reasons.

PS Daria I have always noticed your avatar, since we had the same wedding dress, it looks like. Smile

Yes! I loved that dress! People always comment on how beautiful it is and how much they loved the color on it. Still love it, still would pick it again! Smile

I got my OPKs and PG tests in the mail yesterday!! I ordered a ton...DH thinks I am ridiculous. But I plan on using the OPKs for the next couple of months so that I can chart my cycle and try to see when things are happening. Then in June we can hopefully use them for the real thing. And hopefully use the PG tests soon after that!!

With my first pregnancy I did not chart or track anything. This time I bought OPKs and want to see how things go because I have such a specific time frame I want to get preggo. My DH has no clue about the OPKs and he would think I was ridiculous too

Hi Ladies!
We'll be trying in June for #2 as well. My daughter Piper is almost 2 and 3 months. I'm sooo ready to be preggo again, but we're waiting because I'm in two weddings- one in the beginning of May and the other at the end of May. I'd rather be able to drink and be merry, not feel sick and exhausted, and be able to fit into a very unforgiving dress! Smile DD #1 was an oopsy, so this is the first time I've ever experienced the whole TTC emotions/excitement. Looking forward to it!

Mandy-
I did the same thing, except now I'm having trouble when I get a +OPK to not want to run off and get pregnant now!!! Its hard to resist!! hehe

Ali-
Same thing as me!! Our son was an "oops" and so this will be my first time actually TTC.
I'm also holding off because of a wedding!
Its in july, and my dress is already skin tight, so there is NO room for anyone else to fit in that dress!! So im thinkin I'll HAVE to be under 10 weeks to have a chance of hiding it, if I can lose a little weight before! I KNEW i should of gotten a littl ebit bigger of a dress but I was just so excited to finally wear something small that I couldnt help it.. haha,. my fault!!
I wouldnt mind if I'm a "little" pregnant at the wedding, I dont mind not drinking or anything BUTTT i just dont want anyone to KNOW.. so hopefully no morning sickness!!?!? hehe

I think I am going to do my first OPK tomorrow :). My cycles are super wonky so I have no idea when I ovulate. I know it is super early in my cycle, but like I said before I have a TON of tests...like 80 of them. I can't wait to pee in a cup tomorrow at work and then sit there for 5 minutes waiting for a line to show up. :gottago:

I have finally got a + on an OPK. I've only used them for a couple months and seriously used them for a month so to see the positive made me happy. At least I know I'm ovulating. It was on CD 19 though so i'm hoping it regulates a little more because the longest my cycles have ever been is 29 days and I want to make sure the little eggy has oddles of time to settle in. 10 days is cutting it a little too close for my taste. But we'll see how things go when we start actually trying. I do need to order some more tests though. I'm low on the ones I have and I will not spend another $18 on 20 tests. Sad

Well, DH found the shipping lable with my OPKs and embarassment ensued. He said 'Do you really think we need these, it's a waste of money.' Sad Oh well, can't take them back, they're mine now Wink

Krista, here's a link to Amazon where I got mine. They're just the simple dip strips. A lot cheaper than what you had.

Krista-
Not to be a downer but OPKS don't actually let you know if you ovulate, just that you got the LH surge which is SUPPOSED to make you release an egg. Just to keep in mind incase you didn't get pregnant even w/ pos opks, but obviously you have children already so I'm sure your going to be just fine.

AND, I also buy them cheaper from amazon. 50 for 10 dollars or something??? So I dont feel guilty POAS all the time Smile its nice to see SOMETHING have two lines!!! Smile

Well, three days of negative OPKs, but that is what I expected. It is so different with the OPK and the PG tests. With the PG tests my heart races and I squint trying to find a line. Then with the OPKs it is no big deal if there is a line. It is definitely not the same POAS rush with the OPKs but it is still fun. Maybe it will get better when I am a little closer to O time.

Yeah I know OPK's don't tell me if I ovulate, I look at all the signs, temps, and CM. Before I got the positive OPK it was just CM and temping I was using. It really helped seeing the temp climb and also getting a positive OPK because that's how I knew I had most likely O'd. Of course both combined with TONS of EWCM.

I did buy some OPK's from Amazon. Got 50 for $10. Smile They should be arriving with in the next week. I just needed some OPK's quick, that's why I went for the ones at Walmart. Wont be doing that again though. My period should be starting in a week and then it's one more cycle before BDING!!! Well hopefully anyway. We might wait two more cycles so we can be due late March rather than the first of March. BUT we will just have to see what my cycles do. I might end up with a couple long/short cycles and things will work out to be the middle of March. Which is what I would prefer. Wink Though the past 4 months have been, 28,29,27,25.

I don't know if these OPKs are going to help me or not. I had been getting faint lines for the past few days and today there was nothing. I have to be getting closer to my O day so why no line? Too confusing. I like PG tests where any line is a positive. Don't leave it up to me to interpret the results. I am such a bad judge of how dark a line is.

Finally got a + OPK the other day but my temps are matching up. My temps are actually just completely erratic. If I just go off temps, FF says I O'd last weekend when over course DH and I BD'd. But if I go off the OPK we are in the clear. I guess I will just wait until AF shows up and then look back at my chart. DH and I may just have to BD every day when June gets here cause I won't know when I am Oing.

Nothin wrong with BD every day just incase!! hehe!! Seems like tons of people just BD every day/every other.. and don't pay attention to any O signs or temp or take OPKS or look @ calendar and then seem to end up preg pretty quickly! Maybe I shld try that Smile

Hey Cait!! I am totally with you. All this temping and OPKing is just making me more confused. I think DH and I will just have to BD every day and just see what happens. I am sure he will have no problem with that. I just hope I can survive it!!!

Hey ladies, mine if I come obsess with you a little? DH and I are trying but this is my first "real" cycle so I don't know if I should hold out too much hope. I never got AF back after DD2 so I took provera and had that period, then a regular (for me) cycle of 35ish days, and here we are at real cycle 1. DD1 took 6 DD2 took 3 so this one should take 1.5 right? Smile Thanks for the link to amazon, I'm going to have to check that out next. Smile
