Well I am currently stuck in the hospital....I began hemmoraging and contracting every 1-3 minutes on wednesday and was rushed by ambulance to the nearest hospital. They tried to stabilize me and then sent me to the high risk hospital in Toronto with a level 3 NICU (about 1.5 hours away from home). The bleeding and contractions have since slowed down but they are not letting me go home! I am having such a hard time with this as I really miss my other 3 kids and want to be home for Christmas but at the same time need/ want my twin girls to be born healthy! I am currently 27 weeks 6 days pregnant and was told if the girls are born now they would have a 85% survival. It is soo scary being here! I recieved the steroid shots for their lungs and they are practicing breathing on the ultrasound, both girls are already over 2 pounds and growing good. The dr's say that I has a partial placenta abrubtion. I have no idea when I can go home, I was really hoping to be home for Christams as I have my 3 kids at home but as long as I am still bleeding and contracting they will not let me go! I know being here is the best thing for the twins but it is soo hard! Has anyone else experienced this? How did it turn out? I'm praying everything turns around and I can go home for the remainder of my pregnancy!.
