Humdrum Doctor's Appt

I had another OB appt yesterday. Pretty boring and uneventful, which I guess is a good thing! BP was really good, but I gained 6 lbs since my last appt!! Yikes! Doc didn't say a word about it, but I have no idea how I gained that much in 4 weeks! I feel like I've been eating moderately, but maybe my sweet tooth is catching up with me. I go back in 3 weeks and do my glucose test...can't believe it's already time for that! But I'm definitely glad to get it done and over with before the holidays. Now let's just pray that I pass!

Oh, and forgot to add that I went ahead and got the flu shot...and now I'm sick today. I have the worst sore throat and I feel like my head is about ready to explode. I don't know why, but this happens to me every time I get a flu shot. Ugh.

6lbs isn't that much. In the last 6 weeks I have gained 20lbs (GULP). WHich brings me to 15 over my prepregnacy weight (I lost some the first trimester) and I was only 112 lBS before I got pregnant. I excercise, eat healthy, haven't put any extra size on except belly and boobs, so I figure baby must be growing healthy!

It sounds like a great appointment! Humdrum is good, that's what we want!

Oh and I had the exact same reaction to the flu shot this year!

I always like appointments where I am back in my car 10 minutes after the appt time. Once when I was early I was back in the car before my scheduled time. I always say that I don't want to be interesting to my ob!
I think 6 is fine for one month this late in the game, I wouldn't worry especially if your dr. isn't.

Humdrum appointments are good appointments. Smile I've gained a lot this past month, too. I think I'm at a total of 20 lbs. so far. But I'm swelling a lot so I know some of that has to be water retention.

glad you had a good appointment! i had an uneventful appointment yesterday, too. i was worried my BP would be elevated because i was actually really stressed/annoyed that i had to wait an hour past my appointment time (i had to be home at a certain time so that DH could leave and go to work). i've never had to wait more than 5 min., but i guess they were having a crazy afternoon at the clinic...2 women came in for routine appointments only to discover they were in the later stages of labor! there was a woman working through contractions on a birthing ball in the waiting room when i got there! but my BP was healthy/low as usual.

and i've got you beat...i gained 8 lbs in 4 weeks! my midwife said "that's great! you must have your appetite back!" 'cause she knows how sick i was first trimester. i was glad she didn't seem alarmed. i've gained 19 lbs total now. but i remember with my first pregnancy i gained at a much faster pace 2nd trimester and then leveled out 3rd trimester, sometimes not gaining at all between appointments.
