Little Red Dots

I spent the weekend canning tomotoes and grapes ( In a variaty of recipes). After my shower this morning I noticed that my legs were covered from the sinh to the ankle in little reds dots. They don't hurt, they aren't in any patern, just randomly placed all over the lower sections of my legs (and I mean hundreds of them).

What the heck?!?!?!?!? Is this normal? A typical pregnancy symptom? Any thoughts?

I have no idea what that could be! I haven't heard of that being a pregnancy symptom...I'm thinking it must be something else, but I could be wrong. I'd give it a day or two and if it's still there it might be worth a call to your doc.

Ive never heard of that either. But I am a freak of nature and that sounds like something I would get. Hope it goes away! Smile

Lurking

I hope its just some random reaction to the canning and not this:

PUPPPs

I have had it twice now and it SUCKS! Mine started on my belly though so I would assume its not the same. And if it doesn't itch then it may just be a reaction to the acid in the tomatoes?!

No It doesn't itch. I have canned many times before and have never had it happen. THey are just unattractive really. I have read something somewhere about blood capillaries expanding because of the increase blood in the system, but that it mostly appears upper body (above the waist).

I was thinking about this today and wondering how you were doing? Did they go away on their own?

nope - still have them. They are not as red as before though. I don't think it was an allergy as it was my hands in with the tomatoes. But my mom thinks it's because I was on my feet too long with out suportive socks. She says my grandma had the same problem when pregnant. She may have a point. I have been wearing supportive socks since then and, like I said they seem to get better.

I know that I feel it mostly in my legs if I am doing stuff around the house all day without shoes on. I have hardwood floors. Once I figured this out I just wore shoes all day and it helped my feet and legs tremendously. What are supportive socks? If you can find them on-line somewhere you can link it here like this

Socks

These kinds of socks. I guess they are essentially knee highs. My mom said she would wear them in supportive panty hose, and those worked too.

Very neat! Let us know what you think about them and if they work for your dots.
