Matching big girl and baby bedding

I am having a really hard time finding matching bedding in twin size and crib size. The girls will be sharing a room and I really want everything to match. Anyone have any suggestions on where to look?

yeah, i was gonna say land of nod or pottery barn kids, but i know they are both out of my price range! but if you have the budget for it, they have really cute bedding that comes in crib and twin sizes.

for cheaper options, maybe ikea? i don't know if they make the same patterns in crib and twin, but a friend of mine just got an adorable toddler-bed sized comforter for her little girl from ikea with owls and other forest animals in bright girly colors.

Target has a very cute owl theme. I got the toddler size for my dd because infant sets are so expensive. she can not use the toddler sized comforter it comes with but will some day. the sheets are cute and i have the wall decals. the twin size matches and is also really adorable . we found that we never used the infant stuff that comes with the set (crib bumpers..etc)

I know it says it is no longer available but our target still has them and they are on clearance. You can also find it on ebay.. Smile

For my daughter I painted the walls light yellow and light green. Then I bought Winnie the Pooh crib bedding (in similar colors).

Her big girl bed is still Winnie the Pooh themed, but it has a lot more pink on it.

I still have the crib bedding and will use it for this next baby. It's good for a boy or a girl. I'm glad since they'll be sharing a room until we move.

I am having this same problem...If it's a boy it will share with DS and if its a girl with DD...I have been scouring everything I can find to try and find similar colors/themes and it look like for us we will just have to have somewhat coordinating colors. I will probably end up making the babies bedding and just matching it to something already in the kids rooms. DS has a green, blue, gray, black and orange bedspread from Target so I am thinking if it's a boy I will do something with stripes/polka dots probably in gray and blue or green. If it's a girl...I have been wanting to change out DD's bedding for a while so we will probably do something with pinks and yellows and grays/blacks and then polka dots/girly prints for the babies bedding in similar colors.

I probably didn't answer or help you at all..sorry...but maybe you could pick a color out of DD's bedding and try to find something of a solid color for the main part of babies bedding. I've seen some cute minky and other cute solid bumpers...and sheets are pretty easy to come by in solid colors or simple prints. Then maybe you could add some different patterns??

Definitely keep us updated on what you do though b/c I am dying here trying to figure out how to re-design each of the kids rooms to make them look cute if they are the one to share!

I found beyond bedding.com and all of their bedding sets come in crib size, toddler bed size, twin, and full! They aren't exactly cheap though! I found this set that I think would be really cute for the girls:

What do you guys think??

So cute!! I love the surfer girl theme. DD will be sharing a room with this LO too. I should look into doing the same thing for her. She's due for a bedding upgrade anyway. Smile

I like that bedding! It's nice because it's not super baby and it can grow with the girls. I also think that $99 isn't bad for a twin set and $179 is fairly average for a crib set especially since it also comes with a toy bag and two valances. Great find! Can't wait to see what you do with it!

I like that bedding a lot! I am not into typical babyish looking crib sets/bedding so I think that is too cool!

I really like the set too, I just wish that they sold some of the crib bedding separately. The crib set comes with a lot of stuff that I won't use. I can't use the crib skirt because our crib has a drawer underneath and you wouldn't be able to see the crib skirt at all, the toy bag probably wouldn't get used, the comforter won't get used until we have the baby in a toddler bed, and the window valances also come with the twin size set so I wouldn't need those either. But, they don't sell the crib bumper by itself (from what I could see on their webpage) and that is what I really want, along with the sheets and changing pad cover. I'm just being a cheapskate so I don't have to spend $300 on bedding because we still have to buy a twin mattress too! Oh well, I guess I've got plenty of time to figure it all out because baby probably won't even be sharing the room with DD for awhile.

Could you use the material to make other stuff for the room like a changing pad cover or throw pillows for dd1's bed? I couldn't do any of those things, but if your crafty or have a friend who is that might make the room even cuter to have those details. Smile
