New Appointment Highlights

Hello all!

I figured I would give an update from my appointment today yet again in a brief form:

*No more previa! It moved several cm in only two weeks! Smile
*Gained two pounds since last visit
*Baby still small
*Definately still a girl
*Still no answers about BF
*Blood preasure and sugar staying good
*Not dehydrated
*On Claratin, prilosec, and my gummy vitamins.
*New ultra sounds are so precious. Really wish I could share the pix with everyone.

Leave anything below!

That's the best news you have had yet! I'm so glad that your issues seem to have resolved themselves so well! Also, if you are unsure about pumping, instead of buying a pump which can be very expensive you can rent one from the hospital for much less. It might be a good chance to see if pumping is right for your. You may find that it's just easier to BF. Just a thought.

Thanks, it was the best visit I have had. We moved from the life/death zone, to the caution zone which made me feel better. Not out of the woods completely but much better. And as far as renting a pump that just doesn't seem like something that DH and I would like to do. I worry about what happens if it gets damaged and DH worries that we will pay more renting it then to just buy one in the end, but it is a good idea. Since I am pretty much determined to do it either way I am going to ask my mom to help with any of the costs.

Smile I'm happy to hear that your situation has turned around and you and your baby are doing fine.. sounds like you had a nice Dr's visit all n' all, I know placenta previa can be a serious matter.. I have a friend who is dealing with this and is also 5 months preg. and she is always in tears cos she has had a lot of bleeding and pressure due to her baby sitting right on her cervix and her Doc has her on strict bed rest.. we're all praying for her and hoping she at least makes it passed her 26th week so baby has a chance..

I have a question.. you say your taking Prilosec? did your Dr approve it? cos I've got some serious indigestion due to strange cravings for spicy stuff this pregnancy.. lol and need something because I cant take antacid tablets cos it irritates my asthma for some reason.. not sure why tho.. *shrugz* anyhow I've wanted to take zantacs which is what I was using prior to this pregnancy.. just haven't gotten around to asking my Dr. yet but I will at my next appointment..

And on the BF side of things.. I'm looking into getting a pump myself.. to help with milk production because with my last two pregnancies I bf'd for a couple months then my milk production seemed to taper off after awhile so I ended up going formula because I felt baby wasn't getting enough, I even had a consultant that helped but I was still uncertain when I no longer had her help anymore lol.. so I'm hoping that a pump with help me.. best of luck which ever route you choose to take..

God bless

Yes, the doc. prescribed the prilosec. I don't take anything that they don't write a script for because I always want to make sure that they can't say I am doing anything wrong or blame anything on me. Tums and stuff weren't helping and the pain from the heart burn was never this severe with DD...so I told them about it hurting my chest and they wrote the script out. Haven't had any severe pain recently since taking it.

Each person is different. I don't recomend you take it until talking to your doctor. For some people the risks out weigh the benifits and the dr. won't prescribe it. Best to talk to them first just to make sure that there would be no bad side effects for your individual case.
