What have you done lately to get ready for the baby?

almost nothing! Smile i have bought a few more cloth diapers, and i've researched double strollers, but haven't bought one yet. we'll have to move a lot of furniture around before baby arrives (all furniture out of guest room/future nursery and into basement, crib and changing table out of DS's room and into nursery, a dresser from the basement up into DS's room, toddler bed assembled and put in DS's room, etc.) but we aren't planning to do all that until at least january. i'll probably dig all our baby stuff out of storage around that time, too...

Nothing yet. I have a lot of old clothes from DD to sort through, and her room to re-arrange but that can come later. I'm just trying to take care of me right now so I can take care of the baby inside. Smile

I haven't done anything either! At all! We did do a little stroller research, but that's it. I'm waiting until next week when we find out the gender, and then I may start buying some things like cloth diapers and infant clothes. I don't have any infant clothes for either gender because I gave DD's away, and never had any boy ones anyway. And I sold almost all of my cloth diapers when we were short on money so I have to buy new.

Put me in the nothing category. I have started looking at bunk beds to make the transition, but we probably won't buy one until after the first of the year. Fin won't be going into the nursery until May so we still have time and I don't want to ruin the good sleeping the girls have until they are both a little older.

Yep, nothing here either! We've got some furniture rearranging that will need to be done in our room to make room for baby. And we'll need to buy DD a new bed (shes sleeping in a toddler bed that's converted from her crib, which we'll need to convert back to a crib for baby) but we've got time for that still because baby will be sleeping in the pack n play for a few months anyways. And I'm not gonna buy much else until after my baby shower...we've already got all of the big essentials. So for now, I'm just gonna sit back and relax and worry about the holidays coming up.

Lol! Ok, I'm feeling much better now! We have done ZERO as well Smile I think I am just waiting until after the holidays since this is such a busy time anyway without trying to prepare for a baby!

We're all such cool, laid back, BTDT mommies! Wait until February comes around and we're all gonna be scrambling around trying to get everything finished! LOL

Since this is my first, I've been researching stuff online and checking out craigslist.org for used things. I started a registry, but my friend is going to take me to the store next Sunday and give me the low-down on everything I'll need and what is just a waste!

Yesterday I bought my very first baby item--a cute pink pacifier!

I haven't started preparing either. Since I'll be a first time mom this is such unknown territory for me. I started a baby registry last week at the request of my mother-in-law and after 20 minutes still had only 3 or 4 items added to the registry. I resorted to searching online for a list of "must haves" and that has been somewhat helpful.

it definitely helps to have another mom of a baby go with you to register or look at your online registry and tell you stuff you're missing, stuff you don't need, what quantities you'll need of certain things, etc. i did an online registry, gave my sister my login info, and she got on and totally changed things around and added several things! she's kind of a bossy know-it-all like that Smile but it was actually really helpful because i just didn't know what i was doing. and doing the registry in person in the store is totally overwhelming too! i remember DH and i just standing at the massive wall of bottles for about 20 minutes, and he finally said "this is gonna take forever! just pick some!" haha.
