Confused and Anxious, possible m/c ?

Yesterday I went to the ER due to cramping pain on my stomach and constant vomit. They told me I had an empty sack and to follow up with my OB. I cried the loss of what I thought was becoming my baby.

Today I called the OB office and was told to come in ASAP. I went in the evening and he told me it can be one of three things : completely empty sack, bad development of the embryo, or really slow development. There is no heartbeat or anything yet, so he drew blood today and I am suppose to go back Monday for another blood sample that they can compared today's with. I just want to know already Sad

**********************UPDATE***************************

6 weeks 2 days - 11,711 mIU/ml
6 Weeks 5 days - 21,632 mIU/ml

They told me it is low and I need to follow up with another scan tomorrow.

Oh Aurora I am so sorry to hear this. Other people have mentioned on here that they had the slow development & their children are perfectly healthy. I hope that is what you find out Monday. How are you feeling physically?

I'm so sorry. Miracles can happen, so don't give up hope yet. With my second pregnancy, I had a 6wk u/s, and I was absolutely certain of my date of conception (there were no other possible dates). The u/s showed NO sac, no nothing. 34 wks later, I gave birth to a 10lb 10oz baby boy. I hope that slow development is what's going on for you too.

KUP and keep your chin up. ((HUGS))

I have been ok, except for the occupational stomach ache every once in a while. I have not had actual bleeding, so i guess that might be a good sign.

I've had a lot of experiences with miscarriages and ones also where I thought I was going to miscarry but didn't. Sometimes no sac was there and sometimes there was a baby there, sometimes there was a sac but no baby, and sometimes everything was just ok. I've always had a little bleeding at least. With my missed miscarriage I had a tiny bit of spotting that I JUST happened to see. Thinking it was nothing I found out at 9 weeks I had to have a d&c.

I'll share a story with you and hope this is something at least for you:

When I was pregnant with my first baby, I went to the dr about where you are. I was 100% of my ovulation date so I was sure of how far along I was. So, I went to the ER with some bleeding. They did an ultrasound and told me there was nothing in the gestational sac, nothing at all. They did a transvaginal, so I believed them despite my HCG levels being pretty high, like 17000 or something. So I went home devastated thinking I was miscarrying. The bleeding stopped and then nothing, until the following week or so. So when I started spotting again I went to the same ER and they said they already did an ultrasound and ruled out ectopic so that's it. So I left, and I went to a different ER. They did a transvaginal u/s and there was my baby with its beating heart. I measured exactly where I knew I was too.

Typically the heart beat comes just around 5 weeks so SOMETHING should be there. But the girl couldn't find it and she was under a lot of pressure and worried. The machine was excellent too. But for some reason it just couldn't be seen. I kept spotting off and on for the rest of my first trimester and found out I had a subchorianic bleed. That does add some risk to miscarry, but thankfully everything was fine.

please keep us updated, hugs

Waiting has been the worst since I still have some weird symptoms. Extreme nausea where I can barely eat sometimes, and today I have a pain on the lower right front side and back lower back pain on that same side. At this point I am a nervous wreck and wish that I could just know already what is going on.

It went well, but the earliest that I might have the results is tomorrow. I'll KUP.

OB appt showed still an empty sack, but since my HCG levels did doubled he rather wait until
Monday to make a decision. If nothing develops by then, he'll have to perform surgery to get it removed.

Were you tracking O? and you totally sure of your dates? Even a few days off can make a huge difference.

Fingers crossed for you!

I am wishing the best. Has your OB ever seen this before?

I'm sorry there was no change in the u/s. Is there any reason not to let it alone and see what happens? If you are having a m/c, why not allow it to proceed naturally?

Just curious because of how you phrased it.

No I was not tracking, I only know for sure my LMP since I log them on my phone.

He didn't say. Al he said was that my HCG levels doubled, so all we can do for now is wait.

Thursday I spotted, but I haven't had any more bleeding. The only other symptoms have been pains on my lower right side (front and back) and cramps, but since their has been no bleeding after...well that is the mystery of whether it is progressing or not.

:bighug: I'm so sorry you're dealing with this, too. My 7w u/s showed only an empty sac and I go back tomorrow for a follow-up u/s (9 weeks). I've had extreme nausea and fatigue, too, and no bleeding. The wait to know is so stressful. I hope you got some answers today. Good luck.

Still an empty sack, so I need to go next Monday to recheck. I hope your appt goes well. Will keep you in my prayers.
