Thread: could the castor oil be working??

Monday I had a membrane sweep and despite 2 days of contractions and an increase in mucus discharge (I've been loosing my plug for what seems an eternity, no idea there could be so much of it!) nothing has been happening. I also haven't had a BM in days, maybe even since the weekend. So I decided to try a little castor oil.

Relief came in the form of a bm this morning. Now I'm having irregular contractions and noticed some pink streaks in the mucus. Could this possibly be working?? I'm not holding my breath just yet...

sooo how are progressing?

contractions through the night (as usual) but no labor yet... I really can't believe it's been going on for this long! I pray monday's appointment will bring an induction date for next week. My guess is I'll be nearly completely effaced by then (75% at this week's appointment already) and maybe closer to 4cm if I'm lucky. I think all they'll need to do is break my water....
