    Default Crafting Christmas Gifts

We try to have DD make gifts for all the grandparents and great grandparents every year. They don't need or generally want anything as far as gifts but appreciate the little handmade things with sentimental meaning.

This year DD is decorating mugs and plates with Sharpies (which I'll bake to set).

Anyone else do handmade gifts? Feel free to share pics too!

you can set sharpies by baking them? How exactly do you do that?

Bake at 350 for 30 mins, let cool and wait at least 24 hrs before attempting to wash. They are hand-wash only and if you really try to scrub it off I think it will come off. Gentle washing seems to be ok though.

And it has to be SHARPIE brand, the other brands fade more when baked (sharpies change a bit depending on the color, yellow turns more golden for example), and are easier to wash off.
