    Default found heartbeat on doppler

    Hi!

A few days ago my doppler came in and I thought I heard something for a split second but wasn't sure, again the same the next day. Today though it was there, loud and clear and for a long time! It was very fast. I was very relieved. With all of the cramping and the bleeding twice I wasn't very sure of how things were going to go.

    thank you everyone

I get mine every time from babybeat. I probably could have purchased one with what I've spent on renting over the past all of my kids. I spent $60 for a period of 3 months. It is relieving for me because I really had horrid feelings inside of me. I had a missed abortion/miscarriage one time (3 m/c in total) and I carried my baby inside til 9 weeks before I knew that my baby had died a long time ago. That was really traumatizing so this helps to relieve that stress and makes me feel better.

As far as usage goes, I only use it for short periods of time, like 2-3 minutes. I usually only look once a day but that's just because of finding quiet time to listen. I put it against my ear and concentrate on the sounds very carefully.

I'm not sure to be honest with you. I have a lot of belly fat too from a hernia and close together pregnancies where I've not lost all my weight yet. But when I lay down it is above where my uterus is. When you lay down is the fat just above the pelvis or is it several inches above the pelvis? Right now the uterus is probably partially above your pelvis, maybe. When I found the heart beat it was on the right side just at my pelvic bone. So there isn't a lot of fat right there. In another week it'll be probably another inch or so up. But because of the position and the baby's size, it'd be easy for it to hide under the pelvic bone, especially behind an artery. The arterial noises and placenta sounds are so loud that they can really drown out the heart beat so if the baby is hanging out over there you won't find it at this stage. Yesterday I didn't find it, but today I did. So it's kind of hit or miss and I don't worry these days if I don't find it because of where the placenta is and baby size.

If you get the one I got you have to take their 3 month package and not a month to month as far as I could tell. But that's usually what I want anyway because til I feel it moving around I like to listen time to time. So if you don't hear it this week, you might hear it next week. Drs usually don't try so early because it's hit or miss and they don't have time or patience to look too much. Once my dr couldn't find it so I did it for her

I'm not really sure what you should do. Just give it some thought.
