I am on cloud 9 these days. After really brutal evenings and nights, I am happy to say YIPPEEE. I called my dr for a rx for some zofran. The first dosage I took I got relief....in about 20 minutes. I didn't expect that. I expected more like the next day or something. Finally! I swear I can't tell you how horrible it was and how dehydrated I was.
:lurk: Zofran is amazing. I've had horrible morning sickness. However, they only gave me 30 pills..told me I can take 6 a day. So that's a 5 day supply, if I took them all the time, yes? Well they won't refill them until September 16th!!! Said I can only get 30 pills a month. Really irritated me..and I only have 6 left.
Anyway, yay for no more morning sickness!!
Do you need to take 5 a day? I don't know how sick you are, but I'm ok with taking 2 a day. Some days I can break it in half and end up taking one. There are days when I would really like to take three full ones though. Today is one of them. But it's SO much better and I feel so much better than I was. YAY
If I pay for them myself it's $92 for 20 pills, so 10 dayish supply. Otherwise through insurance mine came to 30 something. They are pretty expensive but I'd pay the w/o insurance rate to not feel like I was.
I got 30 pills for 8 dollars with my insurance, without insurance it's 40 dollars A PILL. And I only take two a day as well (especially since I found out I can't refill them with insurance). Glad you feel better, it's certainly made a HUGE difference to me.

Just watch b/c zofran ended up making me so constipated that I spent most of the time in soooooo much pain because I couldn't go so if you're taking it every day (multiple times per day), I really recommend taking some colace or something with it as well. I've switched to something else now but I still feel a little crampy while everything is regulating itself. :(
Danielle - yeah, I've noticed that. I had to go buy some prunes and Apple Juice. I went that night, but it's kind of touch and go and the pain is killer when it's ready to come out.

TMI alert! I had some serious constipation after I had ds1, and my doctor gave me an rx for lidocaine jelly to use right before I went to the bathroom. It was a life saver. Just remember to wear gloves when applying that kind of thing.Quote:

Yes.. it is so freaking painful that I couldn't walk. Yesterday I ate TONS of fruit and nada. Today I was so extremely bloated and so much pain that hurt worse than labor contractions. I could not breathe through those and was all hunched over. I laid down and massaged my stomach along the intestines trying to move something. I'd get a very bad pain like I REALLY should go to the bathroom but I'd go and nothing. It is horrible. But last night w/o the second pill I was vomiting.
