Hiya Ladies,
I have been lurking but not posting. Was getting really discouraged about ttc. Feeling a little better so decided to try to hop back in. We aren't trying according to DH, but if it happens, it happens I guess.
Anyway, I am having an HSG done on Monday afternoon. I had one done last June, but they did it while I was knocked out for surgery so I have no memory of it. What do I need to know? I am avoiding Dr. Google because I am already really anxious about it.
So I have the HSG Monday the 2nd and I am scheduled to ovulate on the 5th...
My HSG was very painless and fun! I got to watch the dye going into my tubes and it was great to hear that all was well. You will do great! Don't stress... when they say to breathe take deep breaths and you will feel some period like cramping and that's it. It may open up your tubes too so you can get pg faster after! they say you can get pg easier 1 to 2 months after cuz it opens you up. But i think you knew that cuz i think you are the one who told me that LOL! you will do great!

Hi Kim,
My HSG was very painless. I didn't even take any meds....I felt fine afterwards. I'm sure all will be fine. Good luck!!
I had this done yesterday. I was anticipating pain, as I had read some horror stories, but I could not feel anything other than the speculum! It was no worse than a normal pelvic exam.
My tubes are clear, which was a huge relief, as I had a 50% chance of infertility due to scar tissue from abdominal surgeries. My tubes are higher in the body than normal, though the doctor wasn't concerned about that unless my ovaries are too far away from them, which I don't know.
Kim! I'm so glad to see a post from you! I've been wondering how you're doing. I hope your HSG goes great. I was terrified to have one also and ended up not having to have it...who knows now but I'm less worried about it if it comes up again. At least you get some immediate answers about your tubes and it could answer some questions.Good luck sweetie! Let us know how it goes!

Thanks ladies. I think I am worried because when I usually "O", I am in serious pain to point where it hurts to walk even. This, combined with the m/c's, makes me think I am blocked and this is really going to hurt.
I wonder if it would be bad if I took something a bit stronger to help relax me?
