When does everyone plan to share their BFP news? How do you want to do it?
For us we've only told our closest friends (ones we see daily), and mainly we told them because my BFF knew we were trying and has been cheering me on to test daily, so she was waiting anxiously to find out.
We plan to wait till the end of the first trimester to tell our families, maybe frame an u/s pic for our parents and grandparents. Then we'll post a pic on Facebook to tell the world lol
How about you?
We've told MIL, SIL, my Sister, My boss and one of my best friends. I'll probably tell my mom. Everyone we have told knows our history and that it isn't a sure thing. I'd like to tell our close friends and family before our anniversary and then post something to Facebook that day, which is August 15th. I will be 11 1/2 weeks at that point.
We haven't told anyone yet. Ideally I would like to get a 12wk U/S and then if all is good make the announcement to friends and family. Don't think we'll be posting on FB, I am not very active on it anyway. But, I'll probably end up telling my new boss, my mom and sister and maybe a couple of close friends sooner than that- although I am not sure my hubby would like that. I guess the only definite plan for now is to hold off for as long as possible, to make sure things are good.
We haven't told anyone yet. My Inlaws will be here the day before my appointment so we will be telling the kids right before they get here and then we will put on the kids shirts (Big sister again and big brother) the night that they get here to surprise them. I think I'm gonna have hubby get out the video camera to get their reactions cuz i'ts gonna be a total shock LOL. so i guess if all goes well we will be sharing our news with everyone in about 3 weeks! We will tell my mom and sister right after my inlaws with that pic of the kids wearing their shirts

I like all of your ideas!
We're reeeeaaalllly hoping to get a BFP this cycle so we can tell everyone at our wedding, on September 1st (it'd be about 11.5 weeks). If we miss this cycle, it'll be too early to tell everyone for sure. I understand that some people might find it weird (maybe inappropriate?), or disagree, but our reasoning is that this will likely be the only time in our lives that all of our family will be together. FH has a lot of family coming from England, and my whole family is coming from the East Coast... we're close with our families despite the distance, so we're looking forward to sharing the good news with them in person. As far as how to reveal it, maybe wrapped frames of the u/s at the reception? I don't know.. I might leave that part to FH, I'm 100% sure that I'll be weepy.

I told early with my other pregnancies. I get severe m/s so it's hard to keep it a secret. But... this time (if it happens soon) we're going to try to wait. My sister just lost her first pregnancy, so it would be a little awkward to announce my 4th soon after that. We'll have to tell the ILs, though, because we see them often and I'm sure they'll see through my "I'm just tired" explanation pretty quickly.

We'll tell family and friends after our first appointment and we see the heartbeat. We're going to get shirts for the girls that say "Biggest sister" and "big sister in training." Facebook won't get the announcement until we're in the 2nd tri, most likely.
We're having to change our plan slightly, due to how sick I've been we won't be able to keep it a secret from our 8 1/2 year old so we'll tell her when she comes home this week. She's going to be super excited lol. Luckily we live far enough away from our families (3hours) that she won't be able to tell anyone before we do!
Crystal I imagine that will be great news to your DD ! what little girl doesn't want a baby in the house ? My sister and I were older (13 and 15) when our half brothers were born and but we were still really excited! Good luck !
We've told Ashlynn already. She knows the baby is in my belly. She thinks it's cooking and that it's in my belly button She remembers there is a baby in there but I doubt she really knows what it means. One of my best friends is due in August so I think we will just emphasize that the baby was in her belly and now it is here. Ash is only 2 1/2 so I'm not sure how much she is supposed to/ will understand.
Eala understands the process of pregnancy and the basic mechanics of it. She's even aware that some women need to have c-sections to get the baby out lol. She will be so excited, she's been wanting a sibling since she was 2! Back during my divorce (she was just barely 6), her biodad had only moved out for a few hours when she said 'Mommy now I can have a step dad and baby brothers or sisters! You need to find a boyfriend soon' lol
She's also somewhat aware that things don't always go as expected, we had a Cat that gave birth to kittens on her bed when she was 5 and one of the kittens didn't make it. So I had to explain that sometimes babies don't grow properly.
