She's tried to turn around this week, I can tell from the painful wriggling and pressure. Unfortunately she has not succeeded
I saw a resident today since the OB was in L&D. The nurse told him to send me for a consult with the Gyno for next week, BUT since the hospital he normally works out of doesn't do that until 36 weeks he didn't set it up (we could hear him argue with her just outside our door), instead he is having me come in next week to see another OB. We're onto weekly appointments now and will have a consult in the next week regarding our options...
I have to say if she doesn't turn on her own I'm leaning toward a scheduled section. Just from our chat today and research I've done so far, either an external version or attempt at a breach delivery could potentially end up in a c-section anyway (possibly even an emergency one!). Baby is measuring above average size (DD was a larger baby too) and she has her bum wedged into my pelvis both things I'm guessing increase our risk of ending up in a section anyway. I'm not happy right now, still processing it and hoping and praying she'll eventually turn all by herself...
Don't worry too much because the baby can turn still.
Who knows if any of this works but there are said things that can be done to encourage a baby to turn. Sitting forward I think is supposed to provide more head room for them if they turn, I heard putting cold packs up high on your tummy (if you could stand it) could encourage a turn, also several yoga posses. I have read that it is not uncomon for a second or later baby to turn late in pregnancy.
My daughter was breech until maybe 38 weeks & then they said she turned but I never felt it happen.
I thought I posted an update on both boards but apparently not... hmmm
Anyway...... Tuesday last week she was heads up they did an u/s to verify and scheduled an appointment with the gyno for my consult for Thursday. Thursday Morning she was HEAD DOWN!!!! Yippeee!!!!!
So relieved that we can now continue with our original birth plan
PLUS this week I had a NST and u/s again, Dr said baby girl can come anytime now fingers crossed she comes sooon!!!
I am so glad to read she has turned. I can a imagine what a relief that is. What a god little girl you have already.
