For those of you already Preggo...

I have a ? for you... are you STARVING already? I do ok during the day and I lose my appetite completely around 5 but at 9 after i put the kids in bed I feel like I have a bottemless stomach. I feel that empty feeling like I need to eat. I've been out of the habit of eating at night cuz i've been working out and eating right and tonight at 9 I had a bowl of cereal and some pistacho nuts. I'm hungry again but i'm going to bed. I feel like I'm going to gain all the weight back that I just lost. I feel like this around 11 am too... I have breakfast and then a small snack and then I'm starving... Do I just try to eat an apple or something healthy when this happens? Is this normal this early? I'm only 11 DPO

Ive always been a late night craver/eater. I'm having nausea so I'm trying to eat more spreadout through the day and that is helping me want less at night I think. I'm not really starving yet but I am consistently hungry if that makes sense.

I'm so sick and have such bad heartburn I've been avoiding food as much as possible. I actually find if I eat after supper I throw up at night. I'd say be careful of over eating, even late in pregnancy you only need an extra 2 to 300 calories a day and right now you probably don't need any extra. Grab an apple or a bowl of (real not sugary instant) oatmeal to make you feel fuller in the evening if you need something.

Gina- yes! I've been feeling exactly the same. Not terribly hungry during the day, but ravenous in the evening. I have been trying to eat healthy and exercise regularly over the past couple of years and would like to continue that during pregnancy. I've gained 43lbs with my son (it's been a *struggle* to lose it) and would like to keep weight gain to a healthy minimum if all goes well this time around. ....but my appetite may get the best of me...
Last night, after having a decent dinner at an italian restaurant, I came home and had half a cantaloupe, pretzel sticks, grapes and a string cheese stick. What am I going to do?!?!?!

Gina I felt that way when I was pregnant. I could have eaten ANYTHING. As long as I ate regular meals I felt that way even after the morning sickness had started...they were definitely connected in my case. I ate every two hours whether I wanted to or not. I tried to do three regular meals but then fit snacks in between. I went to the store and got a lot of healthy snacks. I got carrot sticks, and applesauce, and fruit, and jello, and pudding. Things that wouldn't add a bunch of calories but that would suffice. I liked the variety too. Haha. That helped me a lot. In order to not gain weight I thought constantly about how everything I ate was for the baby and then I thought about what it'd be like to have an epidural if I gained too much weight...I've heard some nightmare stories there. All those things helped me a lot. Smile

like what stories? I had an epi with both my other kids and never heard there was an issue with weight... with DD it didn't work really well because she was facing the wrong way in my belly but with DS it worked great and I was overweight with him Smile Do they say it doesn't work as well?
