Default What should I do????? I am soooo sick

    Hi Ladies,

I have never ever ever been so horrible sick in my life. I can't eat or drink anything at all day & have thrown up (mostly dry heaves) & pure liquid diareaha (sorry for TMI). I could barley move at times today (And I still have two little kids to take care of !!!!!). This is the first time I can sit upright all day. My DH is taking off tomorrow. He had them order some kind of lollipop for nausousness (sorry spelling). I am sooooo misserable.

Anyone have any ideas?????? I think I am just doomed to go through this.

This pregnancy has helped me make up my mind that this is the last one.

I forgot to add I'm also freezing cold a lot??????

I haven't personally suffered from such bad morning sickness, but a friend of mine suffered like this for months. She also had two children at the time and neither pregnancy was as rough as her 3rd. During her 2nd trimester she ended up going to the chiropractor for back pain. After her adjustment, she immediately felt better all around. The chiropractor said that a lot of times women suffering from morning sickness can find relief through an adjustment. It cured my friend for the rest of her pregnancy. Not sure if it will work for you, but its worth a try.

do you think maybe you have the flu? i never got freezing cold unless I had a fever... or do you think maybe you are upset about your morning sickness and you have anxiety about it? I know when I'm having a panic attack i've got all those symptoms and i'm also freezing cold. try to take some deep breaths and know you will get through this. it's so nice that hubby is taking off work today for you. just try to relax and know that God wouldn't give you anything you couldn't handle and this pregnancy is one of those things I hope you feel better soon hun! call your Dr too cuz he might be able to give you something.

I had the same thing with my 1st pregnancy, I needed a prescription form the doctor in order to make it through. Have you been to the doc yet? Can you get in right away? You could end up dehydrated which is bad and could have you ending up in the hospital. When you call make sure they know just how severe it's gotten so they will get you in ASAP!

It is possible to get m/s symptoms like that, but the diarrhea would make me suspect it's a bug or something. I'd call you doc and ask what they recommend, but hopefully you'll feel better on your won soon.

I think if it's that bad you should see your dr.

You could be cold due to being dehydrated and that can really cause more sickness on top of the sickness from the pregnancy. I was REALLY cold the other day. I turned off the ac and was under the covers shivering. Weirddddd.

Try eating some popsicles. (not when you're cold, but when you can, maybe go outside and get warm and eat some).

I was ok this morning and then boom in the evening I really can't bear it. I drank a little apple juice but I am just on the edge of vomitting and haven't eaten since the afternoon...like 8 hours ago!

Sometimes peppermints help. Sometimes if it's a dull feeling, maybe lemon juice mixed in with ice cold sweetened water (like a mild fresh lemonade) might help. Sometimes a peppermint and lemon juice at the same time helps. It's kind of hit and miss, mostly miss. I didn't take the unisom yet but thinking to get some. My husband bought the wrong kind.

Anyway, I don't know if any of those suggestions will help, but dear you have to get hydrated, that'll knock you out to where you can't move and make you very, very weak. Please try to call your dr and get some help.

I'd have them check your iron. I'm anemic anyway and it's hard for me to stay warm. Now that I'm pregnant I'm perpetually freezing.

    Hey

Bless ya , I know just how your feeling ... A few weeks ago I had the same - doctor said it was flu on top of really bad morning sickness. I wasn't keeping anything down at all and couldn't move of the sofa. Doctor said if I don't pick up he would get me to hosp for iv fluids. He gave me anti sickness tablets and that took the edge off to the point were I could move off the sofa. I had to take a week off work too. I have never been that Ill in my whole life.

Sooo big hugs and hope it passes soon.

    Thank you so much ladies.

I am so much better now. I still feel crappy but nothing like I was. The day I wrote this post (Thurs) I could not keep anything down & I was not hungry. The next day I was about 1/2 as sick then last night at about 1:30am I just felt great & wanted to eat & eat & eat so I did. Today I just feel regular pregnancy crappy & it is wonderful...lol.

I guess I must have been sick & then dehydrating so it was just getting worse & worse. I also bought ginger candies.

I am glad to hear that for MOST people the horrible sickness did not last too long but I have no idea how someone could deal with that for 9 months. It just reminds me Health is everything.
