    Default 1st trimeters troubles again...

I started spotting on Friday and went to the ER on Sunday (I was out of town for the weekend). Had an ultrasound which showed a baby measuring around 5w4d and a heartbeat. However, also saw a subchorionic hemorrhage which was the cause of the bleeding. The darn thing has apparently pushed part of the placenta off the wall so it's been termed a "threatened miscarriage". I was so happy to see a baby and a heartbeat, but so worried that this will end poorly.

I had a bleed at 7 weeks with my first pregnancy and all turned out fine, but they never saw a hemorrhage and definitely nothing that affected the placenta so this is more worrisome.

I will likely have a follow up ultrasound in a week or two.

Oh sweetie I'm so sorry. How scary! I have a Subchorionic bleed too. It's definitely scary. I hope everything turns out okay and that it resolves itself quickly!

Oh I'm sorry you had to go thru that! Spotting while pg is so scary. I will hope and pray that at your next u/s everything looks great! It's good to see a hb so early so that must be a strong little bean!

    Quick update:

We had our follow up ultrasound on Monday and saw a healthy little gummibear measuring right on time with a heartbeat of 174! We are so happy and excited. The subchorionic bleed seems to have gone almost completely.

I feel like I can relax a little more now and just look forward to the nausea passing and moving into the second trimester
