Default U/s today we have a hb and something a little extra...

So we has out first appt today and u/s. Im 6w1d and we saw two sacs! However only one of the has a baby in it, a baby with a wonderful hb of 150 bpm! Baby measured at 5w6d which is only a couple days off and my MW thinks that Im accurate on my dates. The other sac is a tiny bit smaller and slightly irregular which could be a bad sign that its not going to make it, however there is a yolk sac and it is early. The us tech said its too early to count the baby out and I need to come back. She said she had a really hard time seeing in the 2nd sac from the way it was positioned. My MW is pretty pessimistic about the 2nd baby since we saw a baby and a great hb in one sac already. She doesnt want me to get my hopes up. I wasnt planning on twins but once I saw that 2nd sac I wanted that baby. I really hope and pray that I go back at 9 wks and see 2 babies with hbs! But if there is only one I will be ok too. Im also worried if I lose the one it might affect the healthy pg but my MW thinks if it isnt viable it will just reabsorb. So for now its a waiting game and I go back on August 20th. I got some pics I will post below. They only gave me pics of baby a since there wasnt anything to really see in baby b's sac. The 2nd sac isnt really visible but you can kind of make out where it is above the other sac, it looks really small but it is actually about the same size as the other sac.

Neat! Don't give up just yet, I had an u/s at 6 weeks and couldn't even see my baby. So I went back 2 weeks later and saw a baby with a HB. So maybe baby b is just smaller right now. KUP.

    Awesome!!
I agree. I know a few women with twins that didn't see the second hb or baby at the first scan Good luck!!

So happy you have at least one happy healthy little bean!

Yay for a healthy baby with a good HB! I hope the 2nd one pulls through for you, too.

Wow!! Way awesome! I hope that you can see better by the next u/s! I would be crapping my pants if I went in to find 2 babies! I've never been one to wish for twins--one at a time is good for me! LOL

I wouldn't say I was trying to have twins lol or that it was something I really thought about experiencing not with 6 kids already anyway! I did take Femara though and clomid for 3 mos before that so I accepted the possibility. But I didnt think it'd really happen lol. And after seeing the 2nd sac I really want there to be 2 healthy babies. I have had too much loss already. If it isn't meant to be I'll be okay and I'll just be a little sad. I just want at least one more healthy baby in the end.
