LO's name: Cole (Nicholas)
Height: 36.5"
Weight: 29 lbs
Shoe size: 8
Clothing size: 3T (thank goodness for adjustable waist bands or he'd fall out of all his pants) - we're now buying size 4 so he has room to grow

Favourite things:
1) colour: red (definitely!)
2) activity: going to the park
3) food: cinnamon raisin bagels, rice crackers ...and chocolate
4) toy: his orange Kitty, his cars
5) book: we go to the library so he doesn't seem to have one favourite book. He loves it when I read to him in French, though.
6) music: Cast recording of "The Producers". It's been in the car for more than a year now.
7) movie/TV show: Cars, Spongebob Squarepants, Super Why
8 ) friend: Nicholas (at daycare)

Interesting tidbits as your LO looks forward to the next year:
Cole has developed a few fears so he's no longer the "water baby" he once was. Cole sings "Losing My Religion" at bedtime because he heard the song on a TV commercial and loves it (eeks!). He has an amazing imagination and is still a total ham.

What are you looking forward to with your LO in the next year?
Going to Sesame Place, teaching Cole to ride his pedalless bike, spending time with Cole at the cottage (and hopefully building his confidence with swimming), taking him to more concerts and shows, and cuddle time. I'm also hoping he starts making that connection between letters and words, but if reading doesn't happen before he goes to school then I'm okay with that too.

What do you miss most about seeing your LO grow up?
It's not so much that I miss things, but I dread knowing that the "cuddle" years only last so long. He's started asserting himself, so there's more head-butting, but he's still as much a joy at this age as ever.

How are you celebrating (or have you celebrated) their birthday?
We won't be home for Cole's birthday, so we're packing one of his presents so he can open it on Sunday morning. If we get home early enough, I think we'll pick up an ice cream cake and he'll be able to open the rest of his presents. We won't be having his birthday party until sometime in June.

LO's name: Harris
Height: 40" (well just over 40 to be exact)
Weight: 37lb
Shoe size: 9 or 10
Clothing size: 4T all for the length, his waist would fit in 2T pants I think

Favourite things:
1) colour: Blue (so he tells me--it was red yesterday)
2) activity: Playing outside
3) food: he told the doctor carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and celery but I'd say Smart Food popcorn
4) toy: his New Bear, trains
5) book: he likes most books. He can recite his Charlie and Lola "I Will Never, Not Ever Eat aTomato" (or moonsquirter) so I guess that's a fave.
6) music: They Might Be Giants Here Comes Science.
7) movie/TV show: Dora today...Blue's Clues
8 ) friend: Daniel, Iris (our neighbour) and Austin (from gymnastics)

Interesting tidbits as your LO looks forward to the next year: Harris starts preschool in September and will also start his gymnastics classes on his own--no more parent and tot.

What are you looking forward to with your LO in the next year? Him becoming more independent through going to school, etc. Taking him to the park on his bike. Visiting every fair within a 2 hour driving distance and taking him skating again.

What do you miss most about seeing your LO grow up? He's becomign so independent. He told us the other day he didn't need mommy and daddy anymore. Sad

How are you celebrating (or have you celebrated) their birthday? We had a party at home for family and a few friends. It was the first time we had a nice day so the kids played outside for ages.

Our May Honeybees are 3 this month, so let's see how much they've grown!

LO's name: John
Height: 36 3/4
Weight: 35
Shoe size: 9
Clothing size: 2T, only occasionally 3T. Most of his clothes from last summer still fit.

Favourite things:
1) colour: Orange
2) activity: Playing pretend, especially pirates
3) food: Macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, quesadillas
4) toy: Legos, Little People stuff, especially castle and pirate ship
5) book: Shiver Me Letters (A Pirate ABC), Green Eggs and Ham, Thomas books
6) music: Disney music and pirate music
7) movie/TV show: Robin Hood, Word World
8 ) friend: his cousins, a few of his friends at daycare

Interesting tidbits as your LO looks forward to the next year: It is so great to see his observations as he learns about the world. His sentences are getting longer and longer, it's amazing. We are having lots more behavioral issues at three than at two, probably because he is a stubborn and independent little guy, and the boundary-testing of three is right up his alley...

What are you looking forward to with your LO in the next year? He'll be starting solo swim lessons (without me in the pool), probably starting T-ball with his cousin in the fall, and moving up to the preschool class at daycare.

What do you miss most about seeing your LO grow up? I miss snuggling even though I still get to snuggle occasionally while watching TV. I also miss my two-year-old who was so eager to be polite and helpful and well-behaved. Smile

How are you celebrating (or have you celebrated) their birthday? We had a pirate themed party for family. He loved it!

LO's name: Hadley
Height: 36.5 inches
Weight: 30lbs
Shoe size:6
Clothing size: For length she is in 3T or 4T, but I usually have to pin her dresses in the back so they are not falling off of her. She can still fit into some 2T things too.

Favourite things:
1) colour: at the moment orange
2) activity: coloring
3) food: strawberries
4) toy: play doh
5) book: Twinkle Twinkley Little Star It is a recordable book that DH read for her before he left for work
6) music: any of her Kindermusik music
7) movie/TV show: Blue's Clues
8 ) friend: Brady

Interesting tidbits as your LO looks forward to the next year: She is really looking forward to starting dance class in the fall. We are trying to organize a trip to IL to visit family. While we are there we want to visit St. Louis.

What are you looking forward to with your LO in the next year? I'm looking forward to dance class as well. I danced from the time I was 3 through college, so her wanting to dance is exciting for me.

What do you miss most about seeing your LO grow up? She's never been a big cuddler, but lately she doesn't want to give hugs or kisses at all. She is also talking back a lot more.

How are you celebrating (or have you celebrated) their birthday? We had a dinosaur party a week before her birthday. On her actual b-day we had her best friend over to play.
