Can I scream now??

So I was totally caught off guard this afternoon by a phone call from my doctor. He said there were a few parts of DH's semen analysis that didn't have great results. I was like what the heck considering we just spoke on Friday and he said the test results were "good". Today he said it wasn't awful but he thinks it could be contributing to me not getting pregnant. I was so confused, I couldnt figure out what to ask. Of course DH was bummed when I told him, he is going to call the doctor tomorrow to get more info. I really don't get it!!

On a positive note, the fertility clinic called to schedule my appointment....April 3. I can only hope something good happens on its own before then. And the adventure continues.....

HUGS!!! That is so frusterating when they just told you it was good. Was it the same doctors office? YEAH for getting an appointment with the fertility doc! I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that you don't need because you will be prego by then!

I'm so sorry, Laurie - so frustrating. Hopefully they can give your DH more answers as to what the problem could be. Still praying that you have happy new prior to the fertility appt!!

((HUGS)) That is frustrating!

Sometimes it can be as easy an an infection that just needs to clear up....or if it is low motility they can "sort" for good ones and use those to do an IUI.

I'll be thinking great thoughts for you both!

I second Audra's comments. With my DH, it was an infection, and 30 days of antibiotic took care of it. If it is something like that, once DH starts producing healthy sperm, it takes 3 months before the healthy ones are actually "put into service" Smile But here's hoping things take care of themselves before then! I'm so sorry for the frustration, but I'm glad you have April 3 as a date to look forward to.

Not only the same office, it was my doctor who called both times! I am not sure what his problem is! DH has left a message
For him today.

So DH spoke to my doctor today and he said last week he only told me about my test results. I know I didn't imagine it, go figure! Anyways, he also told DH that it may be contributing to not getting pregnant but the results aren't awful and the problem may fix itself on its own. I am not getting too concerned since we will be dealing with the fertility clinic....now to wait until April 3! Smile

Thank you! I know the Internet can be our worst enemy when something is wrong but after reading how much fertility decreases as you get older, I feel like my chances are very slim. This sounds bad but I have such an itch to get rid of Ev's baby stuff. I keep asking my friends who have babies if they need anything, just to get it out of the house. When DH spoke to my doctor last week and told him how tough it's been, especially for me, he said that it's completely normal and he has seen much worse. He has had patients who elect to get their tubes tied because they can't take it anymore. I am trying to keep a positive outlook, at least until we see the fertility specialist, but it's not easy!
