What favorite saying does your kiddo have?

Kaylin's favorite saying when I tell her something (like if I ask her to be careful or stop running, etc), "I know that Mama" with a total sass look on her face. Most of the time it's funny unless she's being naughty...and then it's a little annoying!

Grady doesn't have a favourite saying per se yet. Nothing he repeats all the time, anyway... but what I do think is funny is that he uses both spanish and english selectively now. When we're out grocery shopping etc, he always greets people in spanish - he now says 'hola!', 'hasta luego' and 'ciao!' on his own. He's also decided that all dogs speak spanish, so whenever he sees a dog on the street, he commands "Hola dog! Ven!" (which means 'come' in spanish). He doesn't say 'ven' to anyone else ever, just dogs. Not sure where he got that from, as we don't ever say 'ven' to dogs, as DH is deathly allergic. Wink

Kaylin sounds like she's gonna give you TROUBLE in about 10 years or so, mom! lol Wink

Jake's favorite thing to say right now is "Poop" but he adds it to stuff, like he gets a kick out of telling me "Chillax Mommy Poop". Another is "I don't", I will ask if he wants to do something (knowing he will) and he says "no, Mama" to which I say "Jake, yes you do" to which he replies in a growling voice "I DON'T!!!" lol

That is sooooo cute, is he picking up the language in Chili? The only Spanish Kaylin gets is from Dora, sigh. And it's nothing more than Hola...Maybe she needs to come visit Grady Smile

And I think you're right...she's going to be a HANDFUL when she's a teenager. Oh Lawdy!

Jake gets his spanish from Dora as well! lol I catch him all the time speaking spanish and sometimes he wills subsitute his english words for spanish words. Wouldn't be so cute to get them all together and see how they interact! Although they are at the testing stage, 2yr olds are just so dang cute!

Wow! I am super impressed that your children are soooo verbal. Kaitlyn doesn't have phrases down per se. She couldn't say something as long as "I know that Mommy" or "Chillax Mommy Poop" (although she talks about poop). She does sing that dynamite song or something resembling it. You know "I wanna throw my arms in the air sometimes, singing, A O, gotta let go". She sings it so much, it's beginning to drive me bonkers!

Cooper doesn't string that many words together yet either.

He does like to say "mash. Dada mash." That means smash, daddy smash, from watching Colin race.

Or he yells "bug! Mama mash!" wanting me to smash whatever bug he sees.

HAHA, these are great.

Sam's favorite sayings are "OH NO!!!!!!" for ANYTHING.....anything. And, "NO WAY" for anything that a simple "no" would work for. Like, "sam, would you like some milk?" "NO WAY" in his southern accent.

And I should add that he just started stringing words together like 2 weeks ago. He says all the time "night night daddy's big truck" and "mommy daddy nina, night night bed now".......we were amazed overnight when he started doing it.

I always love hearing Suzie's on fb Smile

G has started whining a lot lately over stuff and I'll say 'ask mommy nicely' and she says "NICELY MOMMY NICELY!" i tried to explain that nicely means saying please and not yelling...haha I still get nicely mommy

Also, she has starting saying "I want to see mommy! What you doing?" all. the. time. Most of the time I love it, although sometimes it makes me batty Smile

DH called me at work laughing a couple weeks ago because Ivy had spilled something and said “Jeepers!”.

We usually crack up because if anything happens because Ivy says “Oh Man!”

And for a while she was singing Happy Birthday no end… Why can’t she sing anything else? We’ve don music classes since she was 4 months old but she only wants to sing Happy Birthday?

She doesn’t actually have a favourite saying, but she’s constantly talking, sometimes rather complex ideas (but I don’t necessarily understand). She usually saying things like “Mommy outside come bicycle ride fun” or “Skyler tram(po)line up play help come.” I can tell that it makes complete sense to her, she has the vocabulary, and I understand what she’s saying. I guess sentence structure comes later!

At least she can usually tell us what she wants which has averted many of the 18mo old tantrums that she used to have.

Just this week she has us in stitches because she’s started running up to us when she hurts herself: “Ivy hurt arm/knee/elbow’.” Then she looks at us and says “Ivy kiss better”. She gives the area a kiss herself, and then runs back out to whatever she is doing… Priceless!

Oh, and "Again!" is a favourite too...

Too funny Sarah - Kaylin does the same thing, she'll hurt something and ask us to "kiss the booboo". Ivy sounds like such a fun little girl!

These are all so cute!

Brooke likes to say "ladi goat", which is "you old goat"!!! LOL. Yes, we now say "you old goat" when they don't say please, and if you don't say please, you will hear Brooke say "ladi goat"! So cute!

But they LOVE to say "Thank you Mommy" over and over and over again, for the littlest thing! Addison likes to say 'Mommy help" really fast and over and over.

These are all so sweet.

M doesn't string many words together but he is a funny boy. And he cracks up laughing at some things. Big belly laughs. Sometimes if you are doing something with or for him he'll say "No, no, no" or else "I do."

Kaitlyn's favorite word is "MINE!", which can be frequently followed by an air slap towards her brother or sister. I say air slap because she never manages to actually hit them.

Sounds like they all have the independence going - Kaylin will tell me, "STOP Mama, I do it" to just about everything...and she shoves her hand in the air as if to signal a stop. It's funny!

Oh, Kaitlyn must love pop music. I heard her singing Justin Beiber this morning. "Baby, baby, baby, ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh". LOL!

"No thank you" to almost EVERYTHING!!! Even if it's not a "no thank you" type of thing. Like "Girls, pick up your toys before dinner." "No thank you" At least they are polite about it!

(Not a saying, just conversation)

On the phone the other night I asked Ivy if she had a good time at her swimming lesson with her Daddy. She said "Ivy Rayne jump!" I was surprised she knew her middle name. (But I'm very glad she does!)

In retrospect, I think she said "Ivy Wayne Jump". I don't know that she's ever heard her middle name! It was cute, though!

"No mommy - stay!" whenever I'm doing something he doesn't want me to do.

"My do!" to just about anything he doesn't want help with.

And "My juice please!" which is always no, because we try to only give him juice once or twice a week.
