UGH whats up with the PEEEEEE

UGGGH I am at a loss..

Emily has been completely potty trained for about 3 months. She never has accidents out and about in public and has about completely stopped having them at night. BUT for he past week she has had atleast 2 a day here at the house.. Sometimes she has them infront of the potty like she waited too long. Other times she comes out of her room naked and I know :/... So I have been on her all day today "you gotta go pee" " lets go pee".. I just dont get it. Once the boys were trained they litterally never had another accident..

Anyone else having break through pee accients... Wink

Yup. Grady has been almost perfect for weeks now, but in the past week out of the blue has had a rash of accidents. Like Em, never while out and about (thankfully!).. but all in the house. Either waited too long (which he didn't before... maybe they're getting too complacent with it now??), or just let 'er rip. Once on an upholstered living room chair - literally just sat there and let the whole load go. Once on our office chair while watching a dinosaur video. Like didn't even make a move for the toilet. ?? It doesn't seem at all like it's a power struggle, it's not really his personality. And he has great control 99% of the time, dry at both naps and overnight. I really think it's a case of being lazy some of the time. So I've upped the ante - got some really cute gummy worms (that have faces!) that he gets 2 if he does his pee properly, and puts on his own undies and pants again afterwards (normally he'd rather run around nude afterwards).

Yep!!! My Emily has done the same thing! She waits too long and then can't get her pants down and then just stands there and pees all over herself! It only happened a few times a week or two ago but I ask her if she wants her pull-ups back on and says no she is not a baby. So far we have been doing good now!!

Ivy has been pretty much potty trained sine she was 18mo. For the past long while she's been mostly potty trained at night. I have noticed, though, that she periodically has accidents - mostly when she's just getting sick. Does anyone else notice this pattern?

Kaylin does the same thing. It gets to be so frustrating at times! But then I remind myself that she is only 3 and accidents are going to happen. She gets to busy and forgets to go or tries to hold it to long...and every single accident happens right in front of the toilet.

OK I am glad I am not the only one.. Biggrin Now if I see Em darting for the potty I will tell her in a loud-cheerful voice (pee in potty, not in panties)..lol It seems to work and I think it makes her *think* to hold it in more.. They have spaced out but we still get one didn't make it all the way to the potty suprises a couple tmes a week!!

We do the same thing Suzie! If she's darting to the potty we get really cheery and try to encourage her...seems to work for Kay as well!

Consider yourselves lucky to only be dealing with pee accidents!! Ev was doing so well with the potty. Even if he had a diaper on, he would take it off to use the potty. My inlaws arrived last Friday and it's been nothing but poop and pee accidents. I am wondering if part of it is to get attention since we have company. He will go to his potty, sit on it with undies on and the lid closed and pee. Yesterday I let him go bottomless and he pooped on the kitchen floor. Today after putting him on the potty several times, he pooped in his undies. I am a little bummed since he was doing so well amd hoping we can get back on track soon!!

Here's a good laugh for all of you...it's funny NOW to us...took a couple days...

The other night we were leaving for a graduation party when Kaylin said she had to potty. She ran back into the house; after about 5 minutes I thought I better check on her as it never takes her that much time. I walked in and of course she had missed the toilet and pee'd all over herself. I started cleaning up the mess when I realized that her panties were missing...I asked her where they were and she said in the toilet. Looked in there and her capri pants were floating in the water...but no panties. Yep - she flushed them. Luckily the pants didn't go down!
