Any little peas out there?

I keep waiting for Lainey to hit a growth spurt and put on some pounds but it is just not happening! She seems so darn skinny to me. Healthy as can be... just not what Im used to. My first two girls were very average.. never skinny enough for their age for me to take notice.. just very normal in size. So I guess Im just not used to it!

Anyway.. I weighed Lainey this morning and she was 22.2 lbs. And she is tall for her age so I guess that just makes it more noticeable. Today my mom asked if she had a full diaper her jeans were sagging so low. Not the case.. she just has a teeny tiny waist. Making clothes a really hard fit. Her jeans today were an 18 month and they wont stay up. She could easily wear a 12 month if I didn't mind cold ankles and calves.. Haha. If she doesn't pick up the pace soon she is going to have a closet full of 2T summer wear that is going to swallow her. Sad

I find it funny that my 9 lb, 10 ounce baby has turned out to be my itty-bittiest kid. Wink

I'm not sure how tall Beni is, but she's still only just 23lbs as well. Her 11 mos old nephew weighs the same or possibly more than her, and is almost as tall! Beni is still wearing lots of 18mos clothes (but I have to say, I feel like the size difference between 18 and 24 mos has been the biggest- like, she was 15 mos when she started wearing 18 mos clothes and it wasn't an issue... but the 24/2T clothes are swimming on her still!). We have the bonus of the cloth diaper keeping her pants up, but if she is ever in a sposie, then yeah, we have to be careful what pants we put her in or they just fall off.

I am definitely interested to see what our next baby will be like. Smile It is interesting how they can be so different in all kinds of aspects. My BFF had her first a little girl who was a chunk when tiny (like maybe until 8 mos), but turned into a skinny, short miss after that... her little brother was a CHUNK and kind of still is at almost 18 mos! I have another friend back home who has two girls... one just past 2 years old and one 11 mos, who are the same size, like, seriously, almost wearing the same clothes. Can you imagine?

It's a shame they don't make 18 month tall pants or something similar. They do have belts that are toddler-sized. I've seen some on Etsy, and there might be some at Children's Place or Gymboree or some place like that. I'm thinking about getting one for Eve because she has a big bum, but her waist is regular-sized. I'm only hesitating because of her potty training.

My daughter was the same way. Still is. Tall and skinny. Miles is a tank at 30 lbs. The boy never stops eating. I honestly believe its a girl/boy thing. My 4 1/2 year old only weighs 35. Miles will out weigh her by her 5th birthday. lol

Keegan is overall small. When we went for his 18 month well check he was 7% for weight and 4% for height. He is olny about 23 lbs now. He doesn't look skinny just overall small. LOL.....not sure about having a little boy! My girls were usually about average. I have NO clue what size I should plan for this summer. Hoping he starts growing soon!

Fiona is 23lbs. Which is HUGE for us, since she hasn't been on the charts for a long time. She's still short, so she fits easily into some 6-12m stuff, and is mostly in 12m stuff. I think she has a sizable bean though, which is where the weight is. Smile She's healthy though, so I have learned to stop worrying now. She eats like a horse and is really active.

Jordan started out as a peanut. She was just under 5 pounds when we brought her home from the hospital. Of course, she was four weeks early but I still assumed she would be on the small side. Especially bc I am small. Well, not so. She was almost 28 pounds at her 18 month appointment. She has definitely had a growth spurt since then and I'm guessing she is right around 30 pounds. I never thought I would have such a solid kid! She is wearing 2T and even some 3T. The 3T tops are hand-me-downs and so they seem to have shrunk some. Her cloth diapers make 2T pants very snug on her.

Not sure what clothes are like over there but here a lot of kids pants are adjustable around the waist. I was forever grateful when they had more of these available come DD#2, she's a little mini (and still is, wears size 4 and she's nearly 6)...I have no problems with Aaron yet, he's in summer clothes so can get away with the smaller waisted shorts but he does where mostly size 2 in tops (he's 28 lbs right now). I know with DD#2 because she was so little she mainly wore leggings or thick stockings in winter, her jeans were adjustable and even so had that saggy butt look! lol

Took Beni to the doc today... she's 23lbs and 32 inches. But otherwise good. Just gotta keep wearing fat cloth diapers. Smile

So there are some other littles out there! It seems though all the other babes who are in the 22-23 lbs range are also on the short side... so I guess what "fat" they have goes further. I think since Lainey is tall.. it just doesn't (go far). Im not sure what height she is now but she was 33" at 18 months.

The last two days we have had some warm weather.. and I totally got into last summer's box still in my closet looking for something to fit her - SO she has been weaing 12 month shorts this week!

I guess it's the same as the rules we women SHOULD follow... don't look at the tag- as long as it fits regardless the size, wear it! Smile

Jake's tiny (which I guess I kind of expected given his small start, but for a while he was gaining weight so fast I didn't know what to expect!). A couple of weeks ago he was 22 1/2 lbs, but he was sick and had barely eaten all week. He's also probably around 23 lbs. He can wear some 24 month stuff, but the pants need the belt and need to be rolled, LOL. But, Luke's small too so genetically it may just make sense. Not a lot of tall genes on either side of the family! Smile

Hi gals! Had been mostly lurking for a while but am going to try to post again from time to time. Wink

Leyla was a little peanut when she was born at 6lbs. And even though she nursed a TON she stayed in a low curve.

I'd say that now she's maybe 34" and weighs about 25lb. Her face and legs are full but her torso is long and very, very slim. The 12 month clothes are what fit her waist but are too short. 18 month bottoms are loose on her waist but her butt usually doesn't let them slip down all the way. She's in 2T tops for length but they are super wide on her.
