Anyone else still pumping?

Or am I the lone crazy one? LOL

Jake still nurses...a lot. Since I'm home more than I'm at work, my boobs are still used to regularly producing milk. I get really uncomfortable if I don't pump when I'm here, so I still pump 2x a day (thankfully I can just close my office door and pump while I work. I'm actually pumping right now so it was on my mind to post!). I'm prone to mastitis too (3 bouts of it) so I'm hesitant to just let myself get engorged and not pump the days I'm here. Not only that, it IS best for him and he doesn't drink regular milk.

So I guess misery loves company, haha. Anyone else still insane and pumping??

Meagan, wow, you go girl! I stopped a while back but just wanted to congratulate you for going so long Biggrin Eve also nurses a good bit when we're together, but I've been OK when we're apart.

And, no, you're not insane Lol

Sounds like one dedicated mamma to me!!!! I never pumped in the first place, and I can't imagine I'd still be doing it now if I had... but you should feel great for just doing what there is to do and not making a big deal out of it. You're awesome!

I also wanted to say that you are awesome! I only pumped in the very beginning and Jordan has been weaned since I was about 9 or 10 weeks pregnant so our nursing days are behind us. I hated the pump though so I can't imagine doing it twice a day at this point.

Holy **** woman! I pumped till Miles was about 15 months and my daycare thought I was crazy. Lol. Miles still nurses 2+ times a day. I so want to be done. You ROCK!

Aw thanks ladies! Smile I mean I don't enjoy pumping or anything, but it doesn't bother me *that* much. I guess I've gotten so used to it that it's just part of my regular work day, lol. I'm pretty sure I'd feel differently if I worked full time though! Smile

I clearly need to though--I still pump about 5oz each time, so I send 10 oz to my MILs with Jake. He apparently gets pissed if there's not enough LOL.

Thats awesome Meagan ~ I stopped pumping around a year and Jake weaned this month ~ just wanted to say that I wouldn't worry about him not drinking cows milk ~ if he has a healthy diet he doesn't need cows milk ~ none of my kids drink it, they just drink water Smile

Oh I'm not worried about him drinking cow's milk. I really don't care if he ever drinks it, I'm just glad that when he does drink milk, it's mine. LOL.

Lurker Smile My June board is gone so I thought I would check in here. I am a SAHM so I am not a big pumper, but did pump at the beginning to establish my milk supply (Morgan was in the NICU for a week) and if she skipped a feeding for some reason (I am prone to plugged ducts). She still nurses once a night and about a month ago I had a stubborn plug and wanted to pump midday. Well, I only got 1 oz between both sides 12 hours after she nursed...lol. If she were still a big nurser and I were working or my supply was doing well I definitely would still pump. I think it is great that you still are. I would rather have Morgan getting my milk than cow's milk any day Smile
