I get those emails every couple of months from Pampers that talk about your baby's development and offers different tips and advice. I was just reading the one for a 1 year old. It was an article on nutrition and it said babies this age should be drinking about 20- 24 ounces of whole milk a day, roughly 450 calories, making 1/3 of their daily calorie need. I was really surprised!!!
Luke drinks maybe 5oz of lowfat milk a day, definitely not anymore than that. He eats yogurt a couple times a week and a serving of cheese everyday. I have to say I'm really not worried about the milk thing. I don't feel like I need to go crazy and try to pin him down and make him drink milk. Am I missing something here? I LOVE milk, and I'm certainly not anti-milk or anything. I drink it every day. But 1/3 of their daily calories from milk just seemed like alot!
