Thread: #3=new car?

We have a ford fusion that we love for the three of us..we don't plan to upgrade with number two on the way. However, if my fear of twins comes to be reality we would be looking for something bigget and I would not shy away from a minivan simply because it doesn't look cool. Functionality is always my priority. If life would be easier and the kids would be more comfortable then mini van it would be. I want a happy family...not a cool looking family.

We have a Jeep Liberty and a Nissan Frontier.. so we're in trouble if it's twins lol

I actually like the Odyssey.. out of all the vans, I wouldn't mind having it.

We have an Acura MDX and love it (although we are getting close to outgrowing it- not much cargo room now). It seats five in the back.
I refuse the minivan. When we get a bigger car, it will be a bigger SUV!

The Acura MDX was our second choice. It looks pretty nice!

This thread is the devil!! Lol!! DH and I were looking at RAV 4 LEs last night.. He's a Toyota nut. I have a Honda Civic right now so it's cramped as is.. Having me, DH and 2 kids would be torture.. We may get to look at one soon!

I really want a new vehicle! I played with the budget last night and we can TOTALLY afford a car payment.. But.. I don't wanna car payment!

I hear ya! me and DH dont have car payments. We try to pay cash for our cars. Hopefully we will be able to do that again with a new one!

Adriana, what does your hubby have? Civics aren't that big, it's true, maybe you could sell it and upgrade to an Accord or a bigger Toyota if you like those more? I think SUVs are great looking, but not worth the price w/ the lower gas mileage.
We don't have car payments either, so even if you can afford one, it's better to spend money on something else or maybe you can put away the money that you would be paying for a car payment now and then you would have enough for a Rav 4 w/ trading in your Civic when it's closer to the baby coming?

Ok so I think a small blessing in disguise has popped up!

A friend of mine I met about 12ish years ago when I bought my Ford (Car before this one..) called me out of the blue last week. Well, he's a little on the freaky side of life (I used to be a little more crazy and "free" with my days.. ) so I avoided his calls. But.. when I was off last week, he happened to call and I saw the called ID and recognized the number.. well, I answered the call and BSed for a bit.

So today, I recalled part of our conversation that he no longer works for "The Man", he now has his own car lot.. wellll... I shot him a text and asked him what he sold. He said used only but has friends at the Honda, Chevy.. AND TOYOTA stores!! I told him my concern about the BS of a salesman and my inability to do "stupid" and that we didn't wanna pay 35K for a vehicle..

He asked if I knew what I wanted so I told him..

Toyota RAV 4 - Limited Edition - V6 - Leather/Moonroof package.

But here's the kicker - I want it for the right price.

He said he would "find one at the Toyota store tomorrow".



Could this really happen!?!?!

I'll believe it when I see it.. but he's a pull-through kinda guy so.. would be cool!!!
