I started spotting yesterday around 2ish.. and it freaked me out.. but since I had my appointment at 4, I tried to stay calm. By 3 the spotting was gone and I was feeling a little better. Talking about it sometimes just makes me freak out more so I tried to not say anything. I told my husband and he told me to stay calm and everything would be ok.
Got to my appointment and I told them what happened. They say it's common to spot during the first trimester but that they would check me out. Urine was fine, my midwife said my blood pressure was up some but she understood why. Then she took out the doppler she said if we didn't find the HB not to freak out bc I was in the stage where you could either already find it or not but she said I was small enough we should be able to. She found it for like 5 seconds and then baby moved away! She tried for about 2 minutes to find it again and couldn't. So she said we'd move into the u/s room and check baby out.
Baby was all over the place! No wonder we only heard the hb for 5 secs. Baby wouldn't stay still! We were able to heart the hb then. It was awesome to see baby and see everything was ok. At one point baby had hiccups and it was so funny because it looked like it was jumping on a bed! She thought I was the last one for the day but then a nurse came in and told us there was someone behind me so we really couldn't play with it anymore. I'm just happy baby is happy and fine. I got one pic and even though it wasn't great because baby moving so much, it's still a joy to see baby growing and strong heartbeat which was 171!! :)
