Sounds like a good appt! You can do this.. 13 days is nothing... She didn't see or question anything? No concerns? That's a GREAT appointment!!

Just got back from mine too. The nurse said that is ridiculously common to bleed after sex and since it was barely a brown spec on the tissue at this point it was fine, but to stay away from Dh for a while. Since that was my current plan anyhow, no big surprise there, lol. She gave me my bag of goodies, answered questions, gave me paperwork, then decided to add a bunch of extra blood work because of my son's history and my GD history. I guess I will find out how soon I have to really start watching my sugars. Oh, and then the checkout lady handed me the paper about insurance and what we owe, OMG! We were on medicaid with Jack so we paid nothing (thank God because his NICU bills were astronomical!) But since the baby is Due next year, we have to pay the deductible and OOP expenses twice (about 4800) Geez o Pete!

oh and my next appt is Oct 18th. U/S!!!

Yikes, Christine! But it's worth it! Oh and yey for getting an u/s done soon! You'll be 8 weeks 1 day just like I will be when I get my first one!!

$4800 TWICE????? That is absurd!!!! This is an insurance plan???? Ugh!! Honey!!

no 4800 together, lol. It is a 400 dollar deductible and a 2000 dollar OOP maximum. So we have to meet the deductible twice (once for this year, once for next), then pay 80% of any bills till we hit $2000 both for this year and next.

OMG I about had a pissy fit FOR you! Not that what you describe is a ton better.. I hate insurance but you can't live without it if you have it.. Dumb dumbs.

My appointment went great too! Since I only had two periods since my IUD was removed and didn't know my cycle length the NP got me an ultrasound! Totally wasn't expecting that, but she figured I was anywhere between 8-10 weeks and she said she wanted to know so she knew when to bring me back next time for the triple screen. I conveniently left out the fact that I temped and was pretty certain I was 8w, 5d. The ultrasound showed only one baby (phew!) and predicted 8w, 4d so, pretty darn close! I could see the heart immediately, rate was 180. CRL was 2 cm. So freakin fun it feels a bit more real now. Also did blood work, asked all my GD questions and saw the financial lady. I just got home from a grueling day at work, but I'll try to get a pic of the US uploaded soon. Next appointment Oct 30 with US for nuchal translucency.

ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!!! Another awesome appt!! I can't wait to see pics of the bean!! Ok so what is this Nuchal thing?
