Appointment update

I had a routine follow-up visit yesterday. Just pee in a cup, weight check, BP check, measure fundal height. Pee was fine, BP fine, baby measures at 30 weeks, but I lost 1.1 lbs and they weren't too happy about that, but my diet has drastically changed in the last 3 weeks. What do you expect? I can only eat so much meat, cheese, and veggies...and veggies don't exactly pack on the pounds. The doctor was happy with my glucose levels.

She told me to make follow-up at 33wks and 36 wks. Don't most people have visits every other week by this time? And every week at some point? I like going for my appointments...it is my only down time to myself and I like spending the time just focusing on myself and Tatum. I would like to go more often... I think most with GD get even closer f/u than those without it and I get less than normal pregnancies. I get all the crappy parts of GD and no "extra stuff" I hear others get NST, 3rd tri ultrasound, etc. I have great insurance so, let me get checked on a bit more!

I'm glad everything seems well, though. Little one is kicking up a storm right now Smile

I started going every 2 weeks since 28 weeks. That's weird.. but glad everything is going well! I too like going to my appts and just taking time to relax.. other than the wait sometimes lol.

lol.. I'd be with you on this one.. with top notch insurance, gimmee the perks!!

I started bi-weekly appts at 27 weeks but it was 3 weeks to get me on even weeks and now I'm onto every other starting at. I start NSTs next week at 32 weeks.. but haven't heard anything about another US..

So glad it was boring and everything went well - kick up a storm, baby cakes! Not for much longer!! Smile :) Smile

That's weird. I'm at every 2 weeks now. I'll be every week starting at 36. Don't be too disappointed to miss out on the NST's. I had to do that a million times last pregnancy, and my doctor is starting me on twice weekly NST's next week. It's not BAD. It's just really, really time-consuming and I don't always have time to lay around in a hospital bed for an hour or two twice a week, ya know? I do appreciate the extra monitoring, especially because I've been starting to get some painful contractions and cramping, but it's just a lot to fit it into the schedule twice a week, every week. If I actually make it to 40 weeks, that will be 16-18 NST's, depending on when my first one is.
