I had an appointment today too. My blood sugars were fine and the Endo said I could increase my mealtime insulin as I see fit in cases where I don't have as much control over the amount of carbs. Baby looked great on the NST. Then the nurse said, "now you get to strip for the doctor." I was like, "what?" They have been anti-checking with me thus far so I was confused. Apparently they are going to start weekly checks now. So this is what I learned today:
-They don't stop labor after 34 weeks (That's next Wednesday)
-However, my doctor is on vacation next week. This didn't concern me until...
-I am now at 3 cm (which is where I was 5 days before I had DS) and I haven't even been contracting so my body is just progressing on its own.
-My yeast infection is so bad that she called in a script that they don't usually give pregnant woman and she was livid that I was told to do the 7 day treatment because she wanted NOTHING up in that area.
So this baby may be an April baby after all. I was convinced this week I was not going to go early at all (and still might not) but I just keep progressing. She said be really strict with being horizontal so I guess that is what I will do. Easier said than done when I have to go downstairs for food
I thought today would be uneventful. I should really stop thinking that. Maybe I should see it as everyday is an adventure instead, lol
Every day inside is better for baby girl.. but I agree, she will be much better off at 34 than she was at anything before! You're a great baker - you just need her to listen to you to keep letting you bake! lol..
Keep hanging in there, girl.. you're doing a great job! You still on bed rest??
My doctor. Was leaning towards my gd as a cause but who really knows. I had one at 32 weeks last pregnancy too, weird. My mom will be here in a week and a half so hopefully baby will at least wait til then and she will be here for delivery.
Wow, this LO is just way too eager to join us all! I hope she can stay put a few weeks longer, at least. Hang in there, mama!
