Appointment Update Too ;)

I had an appointment today too. My blood sugars were fine and the Endo said I could increase my mealtime insulin as I see fit in cases where I don't have as much control over the amount of carbs. Baby looked great on the NST. Then the nurse said, "now you get to strip for the doctor." I was like, "what?" They have been anti-checking with me thus far so I was confused. Apparently they are going to start weekly checks now. So this is what I learned today:

-They don't stop labor after 34 weeks (That's next Wednesday)

-However, my doctor is on vacation next week. This didn't concern me until...

-I am now at 3 cm (which is where I was 5 days before I had DS) and I haven't even been contracting so my body is just progressing on its own.

-My yeast infection is so bad that she called in a script that they don't usually give pregnant woman and she was livid that I was told to do the 7 day treatment because she wanted NOTHING up in that area.

So this baby may be an April baby after all. I was convinced this week I was not going to go early at all (and still might not) but I just keep progressing. She said be really strict with being horizontal so I guess that is what I will do. Easier said than done when I have to go downstairs for food Sad

I thought today would be uneventful. I should really stop thinking that. Maybe I should see it as everyday is an adventure instead, lol

Hmm... well, at least the baby looked good!! I know you want her to bake longer, but if she DOES come, I'm sure she'll be just fine!!!

Sorry about your yeast infection... ((((HUGS))))

Every day inside is better for baby girl.. but I agree, she will be much better off at 34 than she was at anything before! You're a great baker - you just need her to listen to you to keep letting you bake! lol..

Keep hanging in there, girl.. you're doing a great job! You still on bed rest?? :comfort:

Yes. Still on bed rest. She said to be more strict but I can't really be any stricter. I am in bed literally all day with the exception if eating and peeing. :/

Sure you can be more strict!! Stop eating and peeing. Smile

Just kidding. Hopefully you'll just stay at 3cm for awhile.

Maybe these are a bed rest thing? I have been here 21 weeks tomorrow and I got one now too Sad

Ps I could have a may baby too, as I am 36 weeks on may 18th and they won't stop labor after 34.

21 weeks on bed rest?!?!? I am so sorry. I can only imagine what your body feels like. My sides hurt so bad I can hardly stand it any more. What were you sentenced to bed rest for?

My doctor. Was leaning towards my gd as a cause but who really knows. I had one at 32 weeks last pregnancy too, weird. My mom will be here in a week and a half so hopefully baby will at least wait til then and she will be here for delivery.

I'm here bc of a SCH, it has resolved leaving the vein exposed and vulnerable so it keeps bleeding. This has put strain on emalyn and caused her to fall a little behind. I have been in and out of L&D. My doc didn't say what she thought caused the yeast... Hmmm.

I hope u can keep lo in a little longer Smile

Ugh, how sucky! Your visit sounds stressful; I'm sorry this pregnancy is giving you so much trouble! LO appreciates your sacrifices, I'm sure Smile
