I've def been having a lot of them for a while now! It's tightening, almost painful but def not like real labor. Just got back from the doctor who had me on a monitor for 20 min and checked me and said there is no change in my cervix and nothing doing to indicate real labor/contrax.
But they are very uncomfortable and do stop me in my tracks. Just another fun thing to deal with for the next few weeks Smile

I believe my weekly emails started mentioning them popping up as early as 28 weeks-ish. So it's completely possible to have had them at your gestational age! Biggrin

SUPPOPEDLY - They are just a tightening of the tummy / ab region.. just like a regular contraction.. but you don't feel the pressure / pain of it because it's not a laboring-type contraction.. just a practice run. Smile

BUT!!! - I would disagree with this because I feel BH contractions.. they make my back spasm and I was all back labor with DD so it's been uncomfy when they happen.

They have been getting much stronger for me the past 3-4 days.. actually making me jerk out of the position I'm in because it's a little on the uncomfy side.

YAY for progress! Biggrin

The reason I ask is because I've been having some uncomfortable times when I don't think baby is really moving around and doing it. It felt like tightening as if baby was stretching, but baby wasn't stretching. When I touch my belly it doesn't feel super hard like I'd expect with a contraction.

I didn't have any contractions that I knew of with DD so this is all new to me. The midwife keeps saying my body 'remembers' but I don't really get how it can. I didn't labour with DD! Anyways....

Ok, well maybe that's what I was feeling then. That's good though, I want to have a vaginal birth this time so it would be nice if things were somewhat normal. Blum 3

I haven't experienced any more since last night but I see they are very irregular which is a good thing bc that's how they should be!

Well I "thought" I was having BH starting around 20 weeks and the dr said it was normal even that early. However, as we all know, it wasn't BH but real contractions that caused cervix changes. I was told BH was a while tummy tightening that was irregular but that real contractions were stronger, reach around to your back, and are timeable. I don't think I have had BH with either pregnancy based on that. Mine are always low and wrap around my back.

I've had them off and on for a while, so you could definitely be having them.

I tend to get them early, like 16-20 weeks. But they don't cause my cervix to change, so it hasn't been a big deal.

Yep, I tend to get them at night or at least that's when I notice them the most. It just feel like my belly is getting really tight and when I feel it it's hard. Sometimes I don't feel them, sometimes I do. I think you have them more with each kid b/c I don't remember them much even with my second.
