This is kinda a vent but I feel like you ladies can relate to this now that the whole world knows we are pregnant and starting to show.
We had our company holiday party last night and all anyone would talk to me about was my pregnancy. I would try to change to subject but it kept coming back to it. I was asked over 30 times when I was due, what I was having and if this is our last.LOL. I don't mind talking about it but when it's all night and I am answering it over and over its somewhat annoying. I think everyone loves a new baby and cant help themselves to get involved!

Anyone have any stories where people ask you crazy things about your pregnancy? I think the worst for me is " is this your last" as if I have to many.

What the heck is up with all the personal questions when you're pregnant!?! :annoyed:

I can't say that I've had a million questions.. but I usually don't until I'm around 30+ weeks.. then it's a SLEW of "God! You're the size of a house! You have to be due any day!" and "Are you upset it's not a ___ ?" questions..

With trying to change the topic so many times, I'd probably have just smiles at them and asked THEM a question to change the topic. They'd have gotten it. Wink

I know as soon as we announce the gender people will start asking questions "Is this your last?" "Did you want (opposite sex here)?" Etc.. ridiculous! What people don't realize is all this stuff is personal. If we choose to have more or not, that's our personal choice.. our personal life. Who is to say what is wrong and what is right when it comes to someone else's life? Smile So I don't let it bother me too much.. I pretty much tell it like it is! If they don't like it, too bad Wink

It drives me nuts to go around DH's family when I'm pregnant. They're all nice about it, but if I hear "how are you feeling?" one more time, I might scream.

I dread announcing the gender of this baby, especially if it's a boy. I would be perfectly in love with another boy... I adore the two that I already have, but everyone else on the planet wants it to be a girl. It REALLY pissed me off with DS2 when someone at work asked what I was having and responded "that sucks" when I said he was a boy. "That sucks." It's my CHILD. YOU SUCK. Little did she know that I had just been through a m/c and nearly a month of heavy bleeding during DS2's pregnancy, so I was just overjoyed that a baby was actually growing in there. I just throw it out there now when people act like I should want a girl. "I just want a BABY. I lost one, thought I was losing another one... Gender is irrelevant. I just want a BABY."

Mary, you're so right.. this is our miracle baby.. our board name fits so well. After a miscarriage and close to a year of trying why would the gender disappoint us? We just want a healthy baby to complete our family Smile Sometimes people can be so rude but sometimes I guess they just really are curious.. still though.. some people word things in a bad way. If I want to let you know something, I will.. if not, oh well.. just be happy for my family and I!

I can see it now..

Other person: "That suck..."

Me: "Up yours! :fu: "

Yup. That's how I'd roll. Dirol

This is a question that I don't like whether I have 0 kids or 5! As if my reproductive business is any of theirs?!?! We actually struggled to get pregnant with our first 2 (hard to believe I know), and people would ask when we were going to have a baby, or when we were going to have another one. Nobody knew that we had already been trying for awhile, and it hurt when people would ask about it. Of course now I'm a spectacle, and whether I'm pregnant or not everybody makes my family their business... You think it's slightly annoying now, just wait until your 3rd is actually born. You will hear, "you have your hands full," every single time you leave the house with your kids. Three seems to be the magic number for people thinking you have your hands full!

I know what you mean! people already look at me and I know they are thinking I already have my hands full, but thats on me not them. I love being a mommy and the more the better!
I'll never forget a women that walked into the OB's office and saw a bunch of us pregnant girls and said she wished she had more because she only had one child. I would not like to have any regrets and you never regret the children you already have.
