Delayed reaction..

I'm convinced this "crash and burn" feeling is a delayed reaction.. Normally most women are tired tired tired in 1st TM, right? These past 3 days are kicking my BUM!!!!!! I went to bed at 6:30 last night.. woke up late at 6:30 this morning.. and STILL can't hold my head up..

Usually you start to get some energy back in the 2nd trimester as I remember correctly, but it doesn't mean you get as much energy as pre-pregnancy. So I still don't think you can do as much as you used to do and still feel great. KWIM? I know I am still in the 1st trimester but I am starting to get more and more tired. Usually by 5pm I just can't even function to the point I just have to lay down and take a cat nap. I hope it gets better for you. It's hard to feel tired when you have things to do.

You're 15 weeks! yay!

I agree, my energy never came back to full pre-pregnancy status, even after the 1st trimester yuck wore off. It was MUCH better, though. I'd still get worn down easier with activity and need to take breaks more often, though. I'm starting to feel less wiped out, which I'm grateful for. Just ready to be 100% nausea-free now.

I know right!?!?! :woohoo:

I'm wondeering if I'm coming down with a little something.. or fighting a bug. This isn't an energy thing.. as much as it is an "I just can't keep my head up" thing.. I almost fell asleep over mid-morning break.. I was eating and jerked my head back up. So, not really an issue of energy.. just sooooo super sleepy! Sad

I hope I'm NOT getting sick!!!! Dear all that's good and holy.. I don't wanna get sick again! :bawl: I never get sick! Why why why.. Sad

I've been fighting a bug for over a week and it definitely plays into it. By the time dinner rolls around I'm too exhausted to make food! I need to use my crock pot more.

I have been spending my evenings on the couch in the formal living room (no TV) and at first DD was a bit upset by it but now she seems to love our time in there and ASKS me to go lay in there. She likes to cuddle and play around me while I'm on the couch. Sometimes she tries to push me out of the way and steal my blankets though! LOL

I will know when I am done with nausea when I think about what I am going to eat and it all sounds gross. Still wake up everyday hoping today is the day!

I had some kind of stomach bug last night but it was gone by this morning. It was terrible, throwing up, diarrhea, cold chills. seems so unfair when you're pregnant!

Did you ever have your thyroid checked? I ask this because I told my OB today that I still have bad nausea and it usually eases up by now so she ordered blood work to check my thyroid. She says that can cause continued nausea.

I'm not sure I've had my thyroid checked... I know when I first got pregnant they ran blood test after blood test on me that they called a pregnancy panel, but I'm not sure what it consisted of. Everytime I tell my MW or OB that I'm still having nausea, they saw awww and then go on about their day. It's like because I have enough will power to not hurl at the OB office, they don't consider it bad. And honestly, it HAS gotten better.. but it's still there.

Another reason to be so tired is low iron too! I have been tired (needing a nap everyday that I can manage it), but I have been feeling worse these last few days. I am going to ask my doctor to check my iron at my appointment on Thursday just to be sure.
