The dreaded "poochy tummy"

So for those who have had 2 LOs, when did you start "showing" with #2? I'm about 5.5 weeks and already have a somewhat significant pooch. What gives? Why so soon?

Hahaha... Too funny. I hate that in-between phase where you just feel fat. I think I started to get a bit of a bump with DS2 around 14 weeks maybe. Admittedly, it seems to take me a while to show and I don't pop out really far. I think I have a longish torso, so the baby can go up and down a lot, rather than straight out. Shorter women seem to pop sooner (not that I'm tall per se, like 5'6").

I am a twin, my cousins have twins, and its on both sides of my family AND in dH's family! I fear that I may end up with multiples.. DS keeps telling me that he wants a brother AND a sister and when I try to explain he'd only get one he is very insistant that there's goingt o be both. I hope that when I get preg it isnt a child's intuition! curious to see when others started showing. I showed pretty quick with DS1.

Oh wow!!! My DD says she wants to be a big sister but hasn't mentioned anything about multiples. A child's intuition can be powerful, for sure!! Either way, I know you would be happy with one! Smile

I have also heard that it skips generations.. however I dont believe that for a second. my cousin's father is an identical twin and his identical twin has identical twins! (that would be my luck) I would be happy with whatever we get.. However I dont know how I could handle being preg with more than one! (With ds I was asked over and over if i had 2 in there bc I was as big as a house!)

I haven't yet got a bfp and my Mum asked if I was pregnant yesterday because of how my dress sat and I am so feeaking bloated. Thankfully it's hubbys side of the family where twins are prevalent, there are only 2 known sets on my side, but hubby keeps saying it's twin girls next, I told him he needs to get a better paying job then.

Hahahah... Goodness, I can't imagine twins at this point. I'll already have 3 kids under 4... I can't imagine 4 under 4, hahaha. I'd definitely end up in the loony bin. That being said, we're planning to stop at three and I've secretly wanted 4 because it's just a more even number... So if I had my two older DS's and then a set of twins, I'd be okay with that, hahaha. Wink

I seem to of always kept my "poochy belly" lol it's just "hung" around!!! lol This is pg # 6 for us, baby # 4 toss in a csection and surgery for an ectopic pg, my belly doesn't have a chance Sad But I def do think that things start popping a bit quicker w/ each baby. And as far as twins go... I have an u/s tomorrow and I'm convinced it's twins! hahahaha glad to see I'm not alone on this one!

I would love someone on the board to have twins... It has been a while since I got to watch a twin pregnancy (There were like 3 sets on my last birth boards! I floated between two months). I need to see some more twins!

That would be cool to see a twin pregnancy - just not sure I would want it to be me. DH says it would be good b/c then we could get it over with in one pregnancy lol.. Twit. Lol
