Feeling "checked out" at work

I am completely just not into it at work anymore. I'm just going through the motions, doing what must be done. I feel like I have senioritis... Or "full-term-itis." I think I have arranged coverage for pretty much everything so that nothing should fall apart too badly if I go out soon. This is a suuuuper busy week so, not a great week for going out...or for feeling so lazy, for that matter. I'm going to keep on truckin' until baby decides it's time to come, but I'm definitely not my normally super efficient, proactive self.

Oh my gosh, yes!!! I just texted DH the same thing. I'm due this week and my boss comes in saying "Ok before Henry (baby) comes, we need to get the following done...." When he left I told my co-workers that I will keep working at a steady pace, but don't expect me to jump through any hoops or rush around to meet deadlines. I'm working, but I've been facebooking, cloth diaper shopping and checking preg.org today. Haha. And every time I go to the bathroom I tell Henry "ok any time now" just wishing that my water would break. I'm not uncomfortable physically, I'm just not in the mindset of getting work done.

Ya, I've been having troubles staying on task lately too. I think it's normal. For me I have a year off after baby comes so it's something nice to look forward to.

I feel badly for all you ladies who have to work RIGHT until baby comes. I think we can stop working up to 8 weeks before our due date if we want to...but that just means you have to go back to work a year after that date, and not after baby's actual birth date. Being put on medical leave would be way better. I just think it's nice to have the option to bow out early if you feel you need to. I stopped working 3 days before my c-section with DD.

Ill have to work until I'm having a baby and back to work at 8 weeks...they want me back at 6 weeks, but I tried that last time and they are crazy.

I feel so sad for you ladies and your babies. They deserve to be with their mommies longer than 6 weeks! Your government needs to wake up. I mean, how is this good for your country's future. Babies need to bond with their mommies. So sad.

Yeah a part of me wants to keep working until I have the baby, because I know it cuts into my maternity time. But my last day, unless he comes earlier, is May 3rd (I will be 41 weeks). I'm pretty sure my brain will be complete mush by then and I don't want to feel irritated that last week when I'm so pregnant. But let's hope he comes by this weekend, then I will get my full 12 weeks of maternity leave with my baby.
