Felt baby from the outside!

I posted this on my fb yesterday, but forgot to post here!

I was laying in bed the night before last, thinking about how I haven't felt the baby move much and was hoping for some movement. So I laid my hand on my belly, not expecting to really feel anything. Then I felt a definite thump right in the middle of my hand. I thought, "There's no way, it's way too soon." So I left my hand there and a few seconds later, another thump in the same spot! I asked DH if he was awake and told him I felt it. I didn't expect him to because he was almost asleep, but he jumped up and put his hand on my belly. Of course, it didn't happen again, but it was so freaking awesome!

I can't remember for the life of me when I felt movement from the outside with my other babies, but I do NOT think it was this early. I think I just got lucky and probably won't feel it again for a bit (that, or I know what to expect this time, so I'm recognizing it sooner), but I won't mind if it becomes a regular thing! Smile

How exciting! I felt (and saw) the baby move on the outside a few days ago but haven't since then. My little girl is super shy around DH, every time he tries to feel her, she swims away LOL

That's so exciting! I didn't feel inside movement with DD until 18 weeks and outside was a month or more later I think. That's so early AND COOL! Congrats!

so cool! After all the m/s you had it's nice to feel something like that! I don't think I have even felt anything yet but I don't normally pay much attention. I normally don't feel my babies until 20+ weeks, hopefully sooner this time! You give me hope!

SO cool! I was just thinking today that I can't wait to be feeling definite movements already. I am def feeling lots of flutters, but I want to be sure it's baby, not just think 'was it or not?' Just would love the comfort right now of feeling it regularly. I guess we're getting there!

Hahah.. Yeah, no way this was my heartbeat, Adriana. It was a thump... Few second pause... Then an identical thump. It was really cool. I've been feeling more movements on the inside since then, but no more on the outside. I think that was my payback for having an anterior placenta with DS2... I could feel almost NO movement with him, even towards the end when he was like a full-size newborn in there.

I don't remember which is which but with DD, I think she was right up front and the placenta was in back.. cuz I was feeling her regularly at 19 weeks. I think it's the other way around this time b/c I don't feel anything but from the inside with this one.. Can't wait, though!

I'm most excited for DH to feel it, though. Smile His first = all new to him! Biggrin Too cool.

Can't wait for that. They told me that when baby is face down you can feel the movements more than when baby is face up. I know my baby is face down right now. I feel the little butt on my left side.. it's so funny.
