Default I *might* be giving up.. :(

This nausea is KILLING me.. no matter what I do, what I eat.. it won't let up. I'm less than 3 weeks from 2nd trimester but I don't know if I can handle it.

I have some Zofran from when DD was sick about a month or so ago.. but I haven't taken it because I'm just nervous about it doing something to the baby but obviously a million other women are taking it so it can't be bad..

What do you think.. ride it out and whine like a baby or try some? How long does it last? Side effects?

    Adriana...

    TAKE YOUR ZOFRAN WOMAN!!!

It lasts for up to 8 hours. It kills the super sensitive gag reflex. Makes my nausea disappear. I usually need to take two (but doc said that's okay for a 4mg pill, they have 8 mg pills too). I was on Zofran at the height of my sickness every 8 hours on the nose, I would stagger the pills each 4 hours so they wouldn't run out at the same time. It worked miracles for me and it might for you too, give it a chance!! My baby is still growing fine ...

The baby will be fine. But I understand your concern. I don't like taking meds. The zofran really helped my nausea, but it made me horribly constipated. So be prepared to stock up on fiber and prune juice and eat/drink those religiously. Or maybe its just me. I stopped taking zofran, bc of it though.

I got constipated too, but I found with apple juice it resolved itself.

I've had very runny poos anyway so maybe this can help that lol..

Is it for nausea or vomiting? I'm not puking.. So if its for that, it's pointless..

It's for both nausea AND vomiting, it really is a great medicine. Just try it! It will make you feel human again!

I take it when my nausea gets exceptionally bad, and it works wonders. It really is a miracle drug... I LOVE zofran. I couldn't sleep the other night because it was so bad, but I took the zofran and it went to work so quickly. It has made me constipated too... I need some help in that department now, grrr. Dry mouth as well, but I'm sure it doesn't help that I haven't been drinking nearly enough water. I'm trying!

I'm just jealous you have 3 weeks to go and I have 6 weeks of this misery! I wish I could press a "give in" button and be done with this!
So what do you have to tell an OB to get Zofran? I want to be apart of the feel better club too!
