Tell them you're vomiting and having trouble holding down food. You're able to drink small amounts of fluid here and there. (if not, they might make you go to hospital for IV fluids, lol, it's a delicate balance)
Don't mean to hijack the thread Adriana
DH doesn't want me on any meds, because we had a scare with DS2. But.... if it's safe then I want to try it. I'm gaining weight so I don't know if they will believe i'm vomiting which I'm not... yet!
I did notice protein (meats) help alot. Hard to eat but helps afterwards!
Yeah, I prefer not to take anything either. It's just soooo hard to function sometimes, ya know? I keep asking myself how I managed without meds with DS1, because my nausea was at least as bad, if not worse. But I didn't have anyone to take care of at the time but myself... My DH pretty much did everything and I just slept constantly when I wasn't at work. He's still doing ALMOST everything now, lol, but when the kiddos want mama, they want mama. And there are times that I basically can't be around them if I haven't taken something for the nausea, just because they jump and bounce so much, climb on me, etc. and I can't handle it when I feel so horrible.
No such thing! We all have things we want to discuss and it's same line of topic so who am I to care? lol..
My above post's kidding aside, Mary is right.. call the dr's office and let them know you're struggling with nausea.. Zofran may not be the right medicine for you.. that would be up to them to decide. But if you're really wanting some help, call them, girlie.. They would never prescribe you with something that would remotely jeopardize the baby.DH doesn't want me on any meds, because we had a scare with DS2. But.... if it's safe then I want to try it. lol.. Yes, this. I had issues in college for about a month with not holding food down to save my soul and once when I went to the ER I thought this was what they gave me but it was a suppository. Funny thing was about 30 minutes later I was released and walking out and I pulled an Exorcist move.. green vomit spewed halfway across the waiting room. The nurses just stared at me, I waved goodbye, said sorry and walked out lol.. Poor things.
Turned out it was my gall bladder that had gone kaput.. Surgery commenced about a week later. lol..
