my GD test. The high risk doctor wanted me to take the test at 20 weeks because of how severe it was with Jack. I have been tracking my levels the last few days and I know I will fail. My levels getting up in the morning were about 150. They should be 90. I took the test this morning and they drew my blood after one hour. I tested myself almost an hour later and my number was 190. So pretty safe to say my number was well over 200 when they drew my blood. I figured this would happen again, just didn't think so early. I only gained during my second trimester last time and then lost because of the diabetic diet in the 3rd tri. This time I have only gained 2 lbs and my 2nd tri is getting cut off. I will probably be below pre-preg when I deliver because of this and that scares me. The doctors kept saying that I shouldn't be hungry, but I felt like I was starving all the time while following the diet. My numbers were also still pretty high following the diet and taking insulin. I sure hope they work harder with me this time to make sure things are going right.
I don't have the official results yet, but your blood sugar should be below 140 after one hour. If mine was 190 at 2 hours it is pretty safe to say it was ridiculous at one hour. It is what it is of course, I just wish pregnancies weren't so hard on me.
