Looking at strollers

What will you be using?
I will def use a snap n go to start with but do want to get a lightweight regular stroller too, and given that DH is tall I'd like it to have handles that can be made higher for when he's pushing. I have an old Pliko P3 from DS1 which i'm going to try and sell - it's very bulky and didn't love it...
Just curious if anyone has researched strollers, what you'll get?

I don't know if I'm getting anything other than an umbrella stroller. I have my carriers for when I want to carry him around when he's little.

I'm really thinking the baby jogger city select. Can be a single or double stroller and can attach a carseat for it. i will babywear too but I think it's nice when baby falls asleep in the carseat to be able to just snap the carseat to the stroller and go!

I'm getting something really lightweight and easy to use AND a travel system. The travel system will live in the "family" car that DH and I will go out together in - the lightweight one will live in my car because I only have a 2 door and I'm not lugging a carseat out each time I need to get the baby out.

Some things are worth the money!!! haha. Since I have most of all the baby stuff I need since I just had a baby in 2011, I am spending the money on something nice that I will hopefully love! Although, if it's a girl, I am in trouble because I would need all new clothes. Yikes!

I'm planning to wear the baby a lot and my friend is letting me borrow her universal stroller frame. So I was thinking I would just get an umbrella stroller, but then I was told those are better for indoor and short outdoor outings. Is this true? DH and I are definitely not joggers, but we do take some lengthy strolls in the neighborhood and at the park on the weekends.

So then I started to look at jogging strollers and we just can't afford most of those. So then I found THIS. Has anyone used this one or know of someone who has? I like that it has the rubber wheels and think it could be better for our daily walks. The reviews are mixed, so I'm hesitant.

When we were pregnant with DD we went ahead and got the BJCS and let me say worth every penny! I bought a cheapy to travel with this summer, omg never again! $250 and my wrists were sprained for 2 weeks! When we got home we went to the store with the kids and the BJCS was a dream, I'll never cheat on it ever again!

Elizabeth, I was actually thinking of a Jeep stroller but I haven't ever had one. Hopefully someone else can shed a little light Smile

Missbollinger1, I bet it is awesome! I just don't think my DH would go for it lol

We want a Baby Trend Sit N Stand Ultra. DD is small enough she doesn't walk a lot in the store...not productive, in the right direction, walking anyway. So, it will be good to sit her down and strap her in and the little baby can stay in her carseat and be snapped in.

The Jeep side by side might be better but we got the Jeep tandem as our cheapy and it is horrible! I didn't think my DH would fly with the price tag either but all I did was have him push some around to compare, it was he who said yes this is the one! LOL he sold himself on it!

I bought a snap n go on Craigslist for this baby. Not sure about after one year. We do have an umbrella stroller and a lightweight stroller that worked well but it's really quite worn out now so we might find something else.

Elizabeth, I would think a lightweight type would work fine if you don't jog. Ours worked fine for what we needed it for. I'll probably just get one for $20 or so on Craigslist eventually. That's how much our lightweight cost and we got some good use out of it!

Oh yeah, the thing to think about w/ a stroller is that it reclines. Because when you're out and about and the kid wants to sleep, it's a great thing. And our umbrella doesn't have a canopy or a basket which our lightweight does have. So I think the lightweight is good to have.

We don't jog, but we are big walkers. Like 1-2 miles sometimes...and the roads/sidewalks in the neighborhood are terrible. I've been watching everyone walk their babies and they all have the rubber wheel style. But I will have to do some more research. I just can't decide. I'd rather not pay the money. What's the "lightweight?"

My infant carrier is 3 years old. I will be getting a new one and the snap and go. I also plan on wearing baby this time. Since this is the last baby, I don't want to buy anything big and bulky. Not sure how I'm going to manage 3 kids...

I still want the Phil and Ted's. DH has somewhat given me the go ahead to get it if I find one for less than 200. Biggrin I have my moby too, so I will use that for shopping and such.

Yeah, do more research. Lightweight is just a lightweight stroller like this one: Babies R Us by Baby Trend TrendSport Stroller - Nile - Babies R Us - Babies "R" Us

I mean, read reviews, you might be able to find something that's a moderate price but good for longer walks and rougher terrain.

BRU has a bunch of "lightweight strollers" Toys"R"Us/Babies"R"Us

Mine is similar to this: Cosco - Soria Lightweight Stroller: Strollers : Walmart.com
Can't find the exact one though, got it on CL. CL is a great place to look - you can find some good strollers for $10-$20.

With DS by the time he reached 8 - 9 months, he could walk and absolutely refused to be tied down in any stroller. As soon as I put him in, he'd do everything possible to try & get out by leaning over the edge. I ended up letting him walk a short ways, then carrying him, then walk, then carry etc so I'll probably just stick with the baby bjorn. I have a baby trend car seat though and I saw a baby trend jogging stroller that looked lightweight at wal-mart which would fit the carseat. They were selling last years model for $90 but had none left, this years model was 129$ It got me kinda annoyed to pay 40$ more just for one that's a different color. If I see a good deal on one I might get it though.
