MIA - appointment, GD, and nursery updates (with pics)

Hi ladies! Sorry I have been MIA for the past month or so! Between working a billion hours a week, a toddler, and exhuastion from growing a person I haven't been on here hardly at all. I am taking a slacker break at work (lights off, office door shut and locked) to catch up on here quickly and post this update Smile

I had an appointment on Monday that was good: weight is good, BP good, pee is good, belly measures right at 33 weeks, and they are happy with my glucose numbers (in fact, the Dr. suggested maybe I don't really have GD and I was like "um, no, i do. I am working really hard on this. i could eat a regular diet and you'd easily see it in the numbers." I guess it was meant as a compliment, but I didn't take it that way - it felt like blowing off all my REALLY hard work). It was my first appointment for over 3 weeks so I was so excited for it and there was really nothing to it - in and out in like 15 minutes. They didn't have me scheduled for another 3.5 weeks - when I will be 36w, 4d and I said that I felt that was a little long to go...that I'd rather be seen at the more common 2 week interval and they were like "i don't think you need to, but whatever, that's fine." So, next appointment on 4/9/13.

We have slowly been putting the nursery together a little here and there for months now and finally it is about done. We are having a mini "shower" this Saturday - which will really be more a cookout with all our friends and the in laws are in town for their spring break this week so, we will probably get a few gifts to fill in some of the little things we still need (matress cover, changing pad covers, nursing supplies, etc). After the shower I'll buy up anything I still feel that I need over the next few weeks. Below are two pics of the nursery so far (they are from Instagram - hence the odd lighting/faded look). Light teal/grey walls, white accents, orange foxes, oak dresser - I just couldn't handle any more pink this time!

I would have felt the same if my doctor had told me it's like I didn't have it too. But you know that just means you're doing an awesome job, so way to go!!

Love the nursery.. I like pink but if I would have had a girl, I wouldn't have used it. Too much drives me crazy.. I love white on girls.. and purple and just other colors besides pink lol
